Dear forum friends,

a few years ago I made a promise to several members over here that I would come back on the situation of my kidney cancer when

there was a change.

Unfortunately there is a change , luckily not life threatening , but serious enough the get hospitalized for at least a week.

After a tumor free period of 3 1/2 years 2 new malignant tumors were discovered.

One is still small and not rapidly growing which is located in my skull and the other one is much bigger located in my right hand 4th rib and causing a lot

of pain at the moment.

Monday the 3rd of October I will be operated and the surgeon will cut out a part of my rib.

The tumor in my skull will monitored carefully but a surgical intervention isn't needed at the moment.

If I’m lucky I will only have to stay in the hospital for 1 week and can go home to recover.

The surgeon told me that it will be a painful operation and that I will have to take a lot of pain medication for the weeks to follow.

I hope that I can type my first post a few days after the operation but I’m not shure.

( if my wife allows me to bring my laptop to the hospital )

This community gave me a lot of fun and also the opportunity to think about something else then the f***** kidney cancer and I would like to pick up my normal life as soon as possible.

By the way if anyone around has experience with missing a part of a rib let me know what ica expect.

Thank you guys for all the nice words and prayers.

Believe i can need them , the hole situation is going the wrong way at the moment.

Last Saturday i was rushed to the hospital with enormous pain in my left side of my thorax.

Today a new scan showed that there is also a tumor on the left hand side which grows into the

nerves underneath my rib. Believe me now i know what pain is.

The operation is postponed until the pain is under control and then the doctors are going to decide if the are going to

remove the tumors because the are not convinced that these 2 are the last ones.

With morphine and lidocaine it's tolerable.

Thanks again for all the support and the nice words.

Thanks again for the kind words and the Pm's i got.

I'm back home for the next 2 or 3 weeks to have some rest and quality time with my family.

The surgeon killed the nerves underneath my rib were the tumor was growing into resulting in a manageable pain level.

After 2 weeks from now onward they will perform a new bone scan.

If there are no new tumors found ( compared with the situation per today ) on that scan then they will operate on my 2 ribs.

If there are new tumors found then they won't operate and switch to a palliative scenario.

So the next coming period will be a scary and uncertain period.

But some surfing on RWG will detract my mind from the last scenario.
