StormTooper4
http://www.1-pc8838....5b-p-11535.html Shame I have such wimpy wrist to pull 47mm off Dial is a bit green but case looks nice , but the DW font is pretty poor so I am guessing this is the cheapo V1 There are black Dial and White dial versions DUH!!! Why couldn't they have spent more effort on 1 good green version Nasty

PeteM
I understood these were some lesser reps that came out a while back on PTs site... The 305 is coming but the N factory isnt going to try the 382... from info I have seen about it... Did you notice the 088 on there too? And more importantly the lack of fanfare etc that you normally get with the N or H stuff ....
asf
I hope they do rep the

maxman
I think the one above Is just a plain mat YG plating...not very nice really. But that prototype looks very promising. If they can get the brass/bronz plating to look convincing.....I could possibly be Interested In the Bronzo. But...Im always a bit leery of any kind or rep layering. cloner4
Yup, that's the reason I stay with SS but if they could make a real bronze I'm in

It certainly is I'm not sure any kind of plating could yield this effect over time.

projectologist
Hard to agrue with that..Is the proto actually a gen? ...and If so... Mike Yes... it's been making the rounds to all of the Boutiques and AD's along with all of the other new models about to be released. It started out pretty shiny at the beginning of the year. Look closely and you can see a couple of faint thumb prints (under the 15 and 45) that have "etched" onto the bezel over time. The evening I was there they tried to wipe them off with a micro-fiber cloth to no avail. Also note the gen doesn't have the quick release system, the rep does. Excellent observations....I personally love It. It has those antiquing quailtys about It that I like so much...I guess that could also be refered to and better described as the "patina". Very nice...thanks for sharing. Mike

StormTooper4
Hot debate Gents . Reckon the Gold plating might actually last longer than the Gen though. According to OP http://2011.panerai....ials-bronze.php New in 2011 in terms of materials is the introduction of bronze, a material which immediately evokes the world of the sea with which Officine Panerai is historically associated. The new Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Bronzo 47 mm has a case made of CuSn8 bronze, an alloy of copper and tin in the pure state which, as well as being resistant to the corrosive action of sea water and atmospheric agents, has a high structural strength and an appearance which completely preserves the warm shades of the original while acquiring the aged appearance which is a feature of this material. With the passage of time bronze forms a patina which is the result of its reaction to external agents (air, humidity, heat and wear); this does not alter the properties of the material but is rather a sign of its ageing, making each example unique and personalised. Be interesting to see how the 305 comes out
