eunomians Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Here's my lovely AP Diver with AR'd crystal, AR'd date magnifier, dial+hands+bezel relume and water-proofing. The mods were done by Caruwe and his work is impeccable. The relume is so well executed that it looks OEM factory! I added a Survivor rubber strap to the watch just to switch it up a little from the plain rubber strap that comes with the watch. The Diver buckle fits the large 24mm end of the Survivor strap perfectly. So, for the record, the Survivor strap and the AP Diver strap are the same sizes. Look carefully at my pics and you'll see the incredible AR on the crystal and date cyclops. Sometimes I look at my watch when wearing it and it looks like there's no crystal on it at all! And also note the insane relume work on the dial markers, hands and rotating bezel ring. Uwe's work is highly recommended! Cheers
rol_man Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Looks great and the survivor strap fits the watch nicely!
greekgod Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 I think he worked on the sunken hex screws too??
MJC Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 OMG amazing... This a swiss eta? Please pm me when you sell it... O even if you want to trade, have some nice BK piece's, DSN PAM 360 etc
asf Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 hot damn! I definitely like it with the Survivor strap on it. the lume work is nuts!
redwatch Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Wow! That is just impressive!!!! I'm really starting to like these!
Buddalondon Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Superb!! Really that lume is like a lightsaber man. I'm getting one! I would buy this in a heartbeat, please consider me if you decide to sell this.....although why would you??
chronoluvvv Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 I'm somewhat surprised you managed to fit a Survivor's strap to the Diver's case reason being I've tried fitting a couple of ROO APBands to my Survivor and it didn't work ...
squashlovernk Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Actually the Survivor and Diver strap specs are EXACTLY the same. 28mm at the watch end and 24mm at the buckle end. When I have some time I will do a comparison of a GEN Survivor hornback with an AP Bands hornback to show the difference. I'm somewhat surprised you managed to fit a Survivor's strap to the Diver's case reason being I've tried fitting a couple of ROO APBands to my Survivor and it didn't work ...
jeff g Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 Another beautiful lume. This watch HAS to be the rep of the year.
Buddalondon Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 Congrats. OMG that's amazing. I'm getting one - that's all there is to it!!
Tribal Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 Fantastic watch. Uwe knows what he did. Looks fantastic. I like it a lot.
HartDoc Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Awesome watch and strap combo. I really need to pull the trigger on one of these.
mt666tm Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 very nice. that strap really works well too!
guru Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 (edited) Very nice, my Vac diver should be here today! The AR coating that Vac is now using looks identical to Uwe's - very strong and durable, slight hint of amber at certain angles. The hex screws come with gaskets. Perhaps Uwe just removed the gaskets to sink them ? Edited November 25, 2011 by guru

Perhaps Uwe just removed the gaskets to sink them ? No he didn't. The watch was also waterproof-tested Maybe he cut the length of the screws a little?
txcollector Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 is there anyone in the US that offers AR for the cyclops?
HauteHippie Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 is there anyone in the US that offers AR for the cyclops? working on it
Fleet Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Nice watch. Im actually thinking of getting a Diver, and use it as a "daily beater". Getting it waterproofed etc, and then having it as a everyday watch witch I can go swim in, do some harder work etc. This seems to be the perfect deal. 1

HauteHippie Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 is there anyone in the US that offers AR for the cyclops? Got the details sorted out. If there's enough interest to get at least 12 or so done at once, we can do it:
