What new rep watches have you got lately?

Recommended Posts

The forum has been off topic lately as few new posts have been about new reps or newly purchased reps. Or reps at all. Or how or where to get them. Not like the forum was originally.

Without that there is not much to go forward on. Maybe that's where we are. Time to face it with alcohol off.

The RWG forum hasn't enticed me to get a new rep in the last few months or so. Maybe that would be years. Let's find out if this is still about reps, finding them, buying them, wearing them, and enjoying them.

Let's go!

I bought a Panerai 390, and an Assolutamente strap to go on it. A titanium Panerai 309 rep, plus a gen Minerva pocketwatch movement to go into it. Im working on choosing a 27mm croco strap to go on it.

I have commissioned a custom MBK Great White franken ... I picked up a 2846 donor watch to supply the movement in addition to the gen parts.

I bought a Tag Aquaracer 500M and immediately sent it to Vacuum for lume, AR and w/r testing. The watch was unacceptable from the factory.

that was all this month.

No, actually you didn't do anything.

We don't know who you bought from, how much you paid, or what you bought looked like.

And that's the problem here.

You just made my point.

Check out vandal's reviews. They are the best I've seen so far and include the link to the actual watch he ordered from the TD website.

1) Omega Planet Ocean 42mm (Orange Bezel):

2) Rolex Deep Sea Sea Dweller:

3) Panerai PAM-177 Titanium:

Hope that helps inspire you again.

i guess ill have to disagree with you on some key factors;

the forum have been oozing with new pam-talk and reviews.

-The Rolex forum is filled with the latest and greatest of modification-plans and project. the noobs are allways asking where to get the watches, and as far as i can remember, there have allways been an active social/non-watch-related-talk going on here.

over the past few months we have seen a couple of oldtimers returning with a feeling that the forum have changed.. yes ofcourse it have changed, evolved even. things will never be status quo.

by clicking the "view new posts" on the top right corner i get an overview that tells me there have just been posted a couple of reviews. some for sales posts. questions of where to get the watches, what model, and the everlasting search for parts.

-the off topic posting you mention serves to get to know the people behind the watches better, it would be boring without it.

get on it again buddy, there are tons of great watches out there to be had :)

Great post dude. As an "old timer" here I am far beyond the likes of you in understanding and discussing repilica watches. I own and enjoy far more of them than you do,

Your post and your attitude go aginst the fiber and topic of the forum. Your childish personal attack is noted and recorded.

Very sorry that the forum and community have not catered to your personal needs.

I must ask though..... Where are your reviews and/or contributions lately?

Just saying......

People will get what they want and people each contribute in their own way. If your contribution is to criticize everyone who has posted in this thread thus far then I guess we can all thank you for your helpful and positive views. (insert sarcastic tone here)

Oh and I have mentioned and done reviews of every single watch that I have purchased. I won't bother mentioning them here though since you clearly don't seem to feel anyone's opinion is at all helpful.

Although I let this go previously, the continued unwarranted verbal abuses by Carl make me now wonder aloud ... Is this man in trouble with a chemical dependency? There doesn't seem to be any other rational explanation for his baffling public emotional crisis.

My thoughts go out to you, Carl. You can beat this, before it takes the people you love down into the gutter with you.

Godspeed.

I recently got this Tag 500M. Also had an older blue version on rubber. Nice watch, but the finish isn't so great. I had to file and polish the bracelet

quite a bit to make it comfortable. Works great- SW movement.

Also got a cheapie gold Glasshutte Senator 60 from Narikaa, but I haven't taken a wristie yet. They're out of production and not easy tofind. Cool

looking dress watch.

Pams are getting most of the attention right now from the factories and most members

Rolex forum though still going full steam but everything seems to be Pams or off topic

Because the new reps are so good I caught the Pam bug again and have been quite active again

I swore off Pam reps about 2 -3 years ago and now here I am again

I wrote a huge reply to the OP. But i decided to delete it since i was just gettin more and more angry with the OP. So ill just say have fun, enjoy your "old timer" status and appriciate the information that active members actually contribute with. If you don like it i am surtain that other forums can fullfill your needs.

Don't waste your time on pessimistic, negative people. This is a hobby. Have fun with it, don't take it too seriously, and respect your fellow aficionados. Words to live by in pretty much any area of life...

I got this 360 a couple months ago, and the 380 just a few days ago. The 360 is quite a stellar timepiece. :clap2:

For those of you who posted up some recent good buys, thanks.

For you alcohol abusers who have nowhere else to go on a weekend, I pity you.

Get back to the purpose of the board or go away.
