had some time and decided to overwork/age the case of my SD -

its far from perfect - but very vintage

overworked the whole case (rounded the edges, cgs, lug holes ....)

bleached the insert.

I'm no expert on vintage Rollies, but I think it looks pretty good. I certainly don't think any "normal" person would question it.

However, I think the aging of the bezel, relative to the aging of the face it quite contrasting. Would a true vintage have such a difference in the coloration of the bezel to the face?

I really like it... The aged bezel in contrast with the dial certainly happens. Plexi filters UV while the bezel is directly exposed. I like that very much. Further the CG's are excellent. Compliments.

Very nice. There is something about a faded bezel insert that really adds a nice finishing touch to a vintage.

that was 3 years ago

some household-cleaning-stuff something with "bleaching" written on it ...

Very nice Frank. I especially like the way you trimmed the crown guards, they look great. MBK/MBW cg's are too fat.

Really, really nice results... and it's a very beautiful watch. I love it... but does it have the default MBW pearl? If it does, I'd get rid of it asap.

It'd look very cool without a pearl... that suits well for the vintages. Especially for the ones with faded bezel.

I've seen Vintage Rolex Sub 5512 and was like new...no faded bezel and dial...and well genuine... but very clean !!!

But I like the work made on your SD ! You must work on the Band now... too New
