I'd wear it for sure, gotta love the wabi, but no way I'd pay that kind of money for it*, for that price, you could buy a nice pristine one

*Unless it was the dial from Steve McQueen's watch :whistling:

Crazy market those vintage parts.

Did some reading last weeks on 5512/5513 saw this price list from 1967

Complete 5513 listed for $ 160 :snorkel:

And a lovely Daytona for $200!

Yep, my 1665 was $175 out the door in 1971.

Are you guys kidding me??

What your looking at is one of the rarest most sought after vintage Rolex dials!

That's right...before you is the "Choclate Truffle" dial!

C'mon... get with the program !

The "Truffle" dial is worth twice what he's asking...

(to some idiot....somewhere :))

I paid 600$ for my 1964 used Stratocaster in 71! :)

In 1970 I paid $1500 for my 1965 Corvette with two tops, side pipes 327/300hp, 4speed :drive1: . Cigarettes at the PX were $1.50 a carton. Beers were 5¢. Added together they were $50 for going 70 mph over the limit... :nono: Professional Ladies were $10 :air_kiss: , a good cheeseburger was 25¢. I made $78/month and was pretty well broke within a week. :bb:

Clearly you were not in the Air Force. You must be an Army guy! Were the beers in the Coke machine?

Yep, Army, 38 years. I let my Top handle that and looked the other way. They always had them somewhere. But by 1971 we did have beer on ice for sale in the mess hall at dinner.
