justlounging
wow..that would make an extremely vintage watch.. i wonder what the rest of the watch looked like..
HauteHippie
Hehehe... Would you wear it? With the right pair jeans it'd look pretty good. But 950 quid.... Hmm, I don't think so.
Nanuq
It's ... It's ...... IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! And it would look right at home in my case.
TeeJay
I'd wear it for sure, gotta love the wabi, but no way I'd pay that kind of money for it*, for that price, you could buy a nice pristine one *Unless it was the dial from Steve McQueen's watch

woof*
Are you guys kidding me?? What your looking at is one of the rarest most sought after vintage Rolex dials! That's right...before you is the "Choclate Truffle" dial! C'mon... get with the program ! The "Truffle" dial is worth twice what he's asking... (to some idiot....somewhere )
woof*
Yep, my 1665 was $175 out the door in 1971. I paid 600$ for my 1964 used Stratocaster in 71!
JoeyB
In 1970 I paid $1500 for my 1965 Corvette with two tops, side pipes 327/300hp, 4speed . Cigarettes at the PX were $1.50 a carton. Beers were 5¢. Added together they were $50 for going 70 mph over the limit... Professional Ladies were $10 , a good cheeseburger was 25¢. I made $78/month and was pretty well broke within a week. Clearly you were not in the Air Force. You must be an Army guy! Were the beers in the Coke machine?
JoeyB
Yep, Army, 38 years. I let my Top handle that and looked the other way. They always had them somewhere. But by 1971 we did have beer on ice for sale in the mess hall at dinner.
