Ronin
Another 1016! Wow. Nice. Endlink's appear to fit nicely.
preacher62
It seems like 1016 day on RWG. If true...this is a grand day. Here's one just like yours (except for scratches on crystal, now polished out) only J furnished the case, bezel, bracelet and lug drilling and I put it together. Swiss ETA 2824. Clark crystal and hands. You learn to love your 36mm Rolexes!!! Edited October 13, 2012 by preacher62

dieselpower
I love 1016's and these builds are making me green with envy. I have a question, Why use eta 2824 movements?
preacher62
I love 1016's and these builds are making me green with envy. I have a question, Why use eta 2824 movements? This particular case, that JMB gets his hands on, is made for the 2824. This makes it a good 1016 candidate as it is a little slimmer with the stem height right for the case. He will sell you one with the lugs already drilled...by him.
dieselpower
@ preacher62. Thanks for that, most informative and of course, makes complete sense.

blue.
Congrats, Zeleni. That is a nice Explorer. How do you feel about the "Swiss Made" on the MBW dial? I personally had some doubts about my MBW Explorer ("Swiss Made" tag) at the beginning but as soon as the watch arrived it felt good enough to no longer bother about this really minor discrepancy. Wear it often and in good health
panerai153
Beautiful build, That J boy can build those 1016's. You are right about the thin case Rolexes, they just sort of "Disappear " on your wrist. my 16750 is like that,Sometimes I have to check my wrist to see if it's still there!
