FxrAndy Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I just love that one Nanuq, it just proves that vintage does not have to be messed up like some people think, it just needs to be worn. 1

Stephane Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 That is good to hear someone say finally +1 Our daily beater of less than 10 years will become our vintage in 10 years
preacher62 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 That is good to hear someone say finally I agree wholeheartedly! It pains me to see what some do with these watches. In looking at the models, on eBay, there are some that are quite used but you seldom see one that has been dragged behind a train like are some of these rep builds.
woof* Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Isn't this the watch that his friend left him? A gen?

Spot on, Andy. The old beauty is covered with damage but it's barely perceptible at arm's length. It's just the result of lots and lots and lots of adventuring in God's green earth.
Nanuq Posted July 24, 2012 Author Report Posted July 24, 2012 Isn't this the watch that his friend left him? A gen? Yes sir, it was issued to him as a spec-ops diver in the Navy and spent a LOT of time in ugly waters in ugly places. He told me some stories to make your hair turn grey. When he passed on his widow passed it on.
