Guest al12
Hi guys, I bought a TC watch set, but the movement that came with it is ETA 2836-2. When I tried to install it in the TC watch case, the stem broke as the crown hole does not aligh. Since it's very hard to get hold of TC by e-mails is my only option is a new ETA 2824-2 movement? Thank you.
irolexu
Why has it been hard to get a hold of him? Weird

automatico
"...it's very hard to get hold of TC by e-mails..." I sent him a note 8 or 10 days ago wanting to buy some stuff...no reply. Seems like this is the way it is in this 'hobby'.

seafoam
You could go with a Sea-Gull ST2130. More available and certainly a lot more cost effective. JM2C.

Jkay
I would not worry too much. This happens a lot in our hobby ... some little one-man shop creates something special, and is promptly washed off the Earth by a flood of emails .. hundreds per week. Do you want these people answering all email, or working on their special watches? I think we all know the answer
tc670207
That's not possible! I only have eta 2824-2.

klocklind1
Hight difference is 0,45 mm between 2824 and 2836
fidhle007
AL12, where did you get this watch set from?
fidhle007
And just for clarification, the TC watchset takes a 2824 and would probably take a 2892 without any issue whatsoever.
fredfree
2892 has a different stem height. IMO get a 2824 or a clone if you want to go cheap.
its_urabus
To use a 2892 in a case that is made for the 3135 all you need is the right spacer.
Ephry73
To avoid any issues, just source a 2824-2 movement and call it good. The stem height is minimal in difference when using a 2892, but just go with why works. You won't regret it

TC case has a slightly lower crown than Gen, it will take both gen or 2892 but the proper one is the 24... so best go for a 24...

Really? The pics TC has posted on his blog seem to show the crown position as spot on to gen. What makes you say this? oo1 Edited September 11, 2012 by OhOhOne

OhOhOne
It's a really subtle difference but it's there! I don't know, are we talking about the TC V4 case that he used in his 16610 (which now seems to be sold out)? Can anyone substantiate these allegations, one way or the other? I love my TC sub, so now I'm really curious. oo1 Edited September 11, 2012 by OhOhOne
