theflyingdutchman
Nice one! The Safari is a "must have AP", even with all its flaws, still a killer! How was the strap? Here in the EU they are 450 Euros = 560 USD... any trouble getting one? Edited October 18, 2012 by theflyingdutchman

I did not ask for pics to point them out, but rather, I want to see the updated dial that many tell me is very good. I want to buy one for myself! Honestly, as I mentioned many times, you just need to be comfortable with whatever watch you wear on your wrist. The flaws are glaring to us simply because we know about them. To the next guy, it is most likely a "very nice watch", unless he's an ardent AP fan and collector. How many of those do you find walking around anyway. Very true, that is why the new dial is great, but the majour = 3 meter away mistakes e.g. case thickness, will always be a give away!

Honestly, H, I still do not find the thickness difference very obvious. But I have never been looking out for that, even though I know about this tell. Is it really that bad, the few mm? theflyingdutchman
Is it really that bad, the few mm? Yes see here; the 2nd set of pics. Incl. the crown miss placing... seeing that the dial is the smallest of problems, but good that they fixed it! And talking about SAFARI modding, check this: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=132014&highlight=safari ... great what some people can do!
