Watch Guy
Puretime sent me QC pics of a new watch, however, as you can see, there are still QC issues with the application of the blue paint in the words "Officine Panerai" on the caseback. The first pic is from the first defective watch and the latter pics from the second watch. Do experts agree? Many thanks, Watch Guy Edited November 10, 2012 by Watch Guy
chris5264
looks pretty bad,,,imo...also,,,not an easy fix...even if you get the back off...would be hard to match color and get it in the groves right....might as well just say pam rep on the back......also,,,the second pic looks like pretty good scratch on mov...or is that on the crystal... Watch Guy
I agree. I think that it is just a reflection in the second pic, as the crystal is clear in the third pic. In any event, I have requested QC pics from yet another watch...
Rolexman
Same movement. Reject. PureTime sucks. Over & out.
Watch Guy
I agree Rolexman. This is my first dealings with a TD other than Andrew at Trusty. Andrew is amazing in comparison, however, he does not carry the Noob PAM 111 V3
Rolexman
Indeed. That's too bad. The movement plate is missing paint at all the same spots as the 1st watch. Even the scratch is there. It leaves me to believe the movement is te same. Maybe they only switched case backs?
Watch Guy
I believe that is what he has done...
Watch Guy
I requested a refund on my Visa. Do they normally do that?
peterpotamus
looks like the same mvt in both watches
Watch Guy
To me, it looks like the same entire watch, save and except for the case back...
statikman
That is pretty crazy they would simply swap CBs and send new pics. But obviously that's what they did. Shady.
Tonyyammine
That blue writing is terrible. Why wold they send a picture like that?
folex
I think noob factory needs to up its game. Seems like the high demand for these reps makes their quality in production lower.
ninjaturtles
Best of luck in finding this watch, I too am in the market for one, with many others!
Watch Guy
Perhaps this is a reject and the only one in stock...
Watch Guy
Well, here is yet another PAM 111 V3 from Puretime. These QC pics were sent to me despite repeated requests to refund my payment. I would appreciate your opinions on the following: The blue ink on "Officine Panerai". To me, it is not applied evenly. The length of the CG lever. To me, it appears longer than the PAM 111 V3? The inner radius of the CG. To me, they seem rounder than the PAM 111 V3? Perhaps he has tried to correct the blue paint defect himself? Is this possibly not a PAM 111 V3? Your thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated! projectologist
Looks great this time. You are looking at macros that are 25 times bigger than life. Even macros of gens reveal similar flaws, BUT they are not or will be visible to the naked eye... I promise Especially with the OFFICINE PANERAI on the movement plate. The inner cutout on the cg is good as well as the cg lever length. The lens too can distort shapes especially in macro mode with a little point and shoot camera. N series serial = V3 Your good to go with this one.

Watch Guy
Based on my experience, Projectologist actually provided me with some independent advice on recommending another dealer, therefore, I do not think that this is the case. PeteM, any comments on the QC pics?

And the clear sticker which can get all gunky and scratched is covering the caseback which is making it look worse than it is, Take that one for sure.
