No signs of my Gold Fever abating whatsoever!

WOW this is a nice watch!!

Took me a while to get the pics to correctly capture the essence of this watch.

It's a real stunner.

The dial is a nice dark charcoal like the Rubberclad Rosegold.

The black and gold surrounds are perfectly executed.

Black lume is flawlessly applied.

The pushers are modded already, nice touch.

The Rosegold DLC plating and color are terrific.

I paired it up with an AP Bands black Hornback strap.

I think it complements the watch better than a brown strap. Perhaps you agree or disagree?

If you're thinking about picking this one up, don't hesitate. But you MUST buy a Hornback strap because the rep one is def. one of the worst straps I have ever seen.

This is def. one of the nicest reps I have ever seen/owned (in the same league as the Mr. Z modded Grand Prix and RG Montoya).

You've just read my musings on this watch, now let us read your thoughts :)

Very nice.

I turned 40 recently. Maybe that's the magic number when you're allowed to wear a gold watch.

Me too. It's the right age bro!

Great pics!

I share your thoughts complete, mine not on hornback (yet) but also love wood backgrouns just like yours : )

I personally think that wearing rose gold has a little to do with age, but also dressing style and of course, personal preference.

Wow! Just wow! I think the black gator and the rose gold match perfectly! I have to wait 17 years until Im 40 LOL!

Im afraid to buy a (rose) gold rep myself, Im worried that the plating will wear off pretty quick... Is is a daily use for you?

Ok, one more time: WOW!

Gold reps are okay for occasional use, I'd never use one as a beater though. I love version 2.0 of this watch, I guess my 1.0 Don Ramon will now be relegated to Frankenstein experiments :p

Age has nothing to do with it. It is all about income. :) That is a $75k watch. I love this watch too but has anyone had any issues with plating wearing away? That is what has always scared me off.

I gotta get this watch too.....but these damn AP's are so damn expensive to begin with....and add to that servicing costs *which is a must IMO* and expensive straps and you are touching stratosphere.....but worth the money.....beautiful watch.

Yes and no, somehow I would wear a RG Rubberclad at my age (24), because it's sporty. But the DR is more classic due to the complete gold case. Although, if I would have a monthly income as high as to get one of these easily I'd probably get it... :).

But I don't feel comfortable yet with wearing gold, and it's not about income, it's about the feel. :)
