V day is coming next month and I figured I would get her another watch.

My wife likes to wear different watches so she can't just have one or two. She is also VERY cheap (a trait that is both good and bad in a wife)...she is more than happy to wear an $8 watch, even when I bust her chops for how crappy it looks. I have purchased her a Guess watch she wanted and a Bulava (quartz) that she really loves, but I want to get her something decent and different.

Requirements:

- Under $200 online.

- She hates yellow gold jewelry. She doesn't mind a little gold inside the face. Loves silver, black, and white

- She is pretty small with very small wrists, but she doesn't mind a decent size watch

- Automatic or wind-up only

- Skeleton or semi-skeleton watch. I have a couple and she really likes the look of them

- Metal band

About the only watch I've found so far that I liked was the Invicta 1127.  She really hates the chains on the Invicta Russian Divers, so that's out.

go vintage gen! You can find absolute stunning watches from the 20's until today everywhere! Get them to your watchsmith and buy a nice strap, and she well be delighted!

I agree with the vintage genuines, however, you are going to be hard presssed to find anything decent for less than 200 USD. Also  old watches bought online may well need a service before use.

I got my gf a 28mm cartier ballon bleu quartz rep and she loves it. There is a mid size which has an auto movement. These are spot on and are available and most of our TD's for around $200.

I know it's not exactly what you were looking for but this is a really great look on a woman, the wife loves hers. She is the less hair arm sporting the red/black GMT II post-44290-135748306664.jpg

I'd suggest an Oyster bracelet, smooth bezel DateJust with either black or silver-sunburst dial.  Not too big, not too small, elegant and simple. Ideal for men and women :good::drinks:

It is quite a fashionable thing to get a woman a mans Rolex Sub I have seen it quite a bit and ladies are loving the oversized mens rolex these days. I see it alot in LA.

My wife likes my sub so much she wants one of her own. The SSD was too big for her and heavy, but the 16610 is the right size. She dives too and it works that way. Women wearing submariners is definitely a thing now and I quite like it.

I started out buying Ms Nanuq a nice gold vintage piece.....

Then I went with a newer stainless waterproof automatic to match my Doxa.......

And now she wears a grotesque unique Fossil chrono with pink mother-of-pearl and bling.

Nanuq you can NOT let the wife wear that Fossil. :protest:  Put your foot down! :nonono:   Not to worry after 25 years I know exactly where that will get you........................ :cold:

Haaaaaaa!! Here we are laboring under the false impression that we have any say over what our SWMBO wants to wear??! Haaaaa!!!!

Bling away! (covering my eyes)

If not yellow gold how about a rose gold rep mens datejust, might be a tad over $200 though.

OR for a vintage gen (not $200, but reasonable) I bought this Tudor and had a custom redial done for the wifey -all in, ~$550

Boomer how about 18k plated gold w sterling silver under hand  wind vintage Cartier Tank.

Mike - thanks for the suggestion - Checked with the wife on that, and wasnt a big fan...  that said, she now says that she would be into a man's watch, but prob not any bigger than 42mm...  the Kors watch she got was around the same size as a mens datejust...
