Your thoughts on my 16610

I purchased this 16610 a few days ago.

The movement has some problems and will be serviced again by Domi.

But there are some other things that bother me:

The lume is pretty bad. It lasts only about 2h and then its totally gone :(.

The hour hand has some scratches.

The bracelet is...well...one can wear it...but it doesn't feel good.

The inlay is junk.

Here are the actual specs (according to the previous owner):

TC case, case back.

WM9 v3 bezel assembly, complete gen style

Clark crystal no LEC

TC crown and tube

Sean dial and hands

AS 3135 movement serviced by Domi.

Rep bezel insert, unknow source

I don't know about the case. Is it worth to add some extra money to get a superb rep or shall I just wear it like it is as a beater?

Well I guess you're in the EU if Domi is going to service the movement.

I don't know if he does lume work, but I'd say get the dial and hands relumed, or get a new set of hands w/ good lume (Clarks, maybe)

You could get a new bracelet from TC also, or maybe oil/lube up the one you have- it doesn't look bad and I don't know what you expect it to feel like. Rolex bracelets aren't the greatest anyway.

You could put a gen insert in there, but the one you have isn't that bad, IMO.

But all in all, the watch looks nice. Hope the movement holds up after service.

:)...that sounds promissing to me :)

A TC 93250 is already on my shopping list.

Does the WM9 bezel take a gen insert without any modification?

As far as i know Domi does no lume jobs, so I guess I have to get another dial and hands too.

So Clark will be good?

Will they (Clark hands and dial) fit to the case and movement?

Thank you all for your thoughts about my 16610.

On Saturday I´m going to meet Domi and hopefully he is able to fix the movement problem in a second :)

For now I´m trying to find some parts...

TC dial & hands  out of stock...any other options?

TC 93250 V2  already ordered

Gen inlay  (still don´t know if it fits into a wm9 bezel without modification?!?)

Yuki has a dial and handset for the 16610 and he typically has good quality stuff.

Good news for the lume :D

This beauty must have been digged deep in its box for long...the lume was pretty bad.

Yesterday I put it out in the sun for 30min and back into the watchbox...

About 0430h am my little one woke me up and when I got back to bed I had a short look at the watch and guess what...it was still glowing...not torchlike but readable :)

So no need for a new dial and I also can stay with the hands even though the hour hand has some scratches...its barely noticeable :)

Don't expect too much from lume, even on a gen Rolex you won't have a torch after a few hours. On pre Chromalight Rolex watches they used a C1/C3 mix, a bit brighter then the standard C1, but still pure white day colour.
