Looks like Trusty also have another Carbon Diver version http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=352&products_id=10716

and from what it looks, it doesn't have the "Woodgrain" pattern.

its more carbon flake-y

but still not sure whether I should click buy or not.

Better wait for V2 for all of these carbon version out there.

The PT version and Trusty version both look different. I would be willing to wait a bit more. I prefer to see pictures of the actual product as opposed to pre-production/prototype pictures. The pre-order pics of the carbon diver at Puretime seemed apparently to be different from the actual product.

To be on the safe side, we can wait a little more. ;)

Trusty's version IMHO is clearly the better pick based on the forged carbon. Another major difference between the two versions that I noticed right away in Andrew's and Josh's favor is the lug hole size. The lug holes are much bigger on the fc diver than the steel diver. From puretime's pictures, the lug holes look like they are the same size as the steel diver. If you check it out on perfect clones, Josh labeled many of the same pictures to point out the differences between this one and puretime's (without actually directly saying it). I pre ordered it on puretime and luckily my order was declined. I am glad it was because this one looks a lot better and already successfully preordered Andrew's.

The first one to receive it please post a review, even if you could just compare it to pictures of the gen! We would greatly appreciate it.

Me too, is just waiting for some good words before I go diving! :snorkel:

Hi Mr Doug,

yes, some of them are Genuine pics.

On Perfectclone site, you could see the "note" on each pic, to show which one is gen, and rep. for comparison.

If the link above doesn't work,

go to http://www.1-pc8838.com  and click on the Carbon Diver on front page.

Doesn't the lugs appear to have some cracks to them?

Yes. For that reason QC will be critical. The original gen had the same issue. Many cases were rejected at the time. But it does look like the same process and from what I can see it is really close. The case has been properly reshaped as per gen. The only difference I could readily see of the parts pictured was the usual finer teeth on the ratchet mechanism. Now what isn't in the listing that I looked at was final pictures of the dial and inner tachy. I am still all-in though. No guts, no glory. :)

Couldn't resist. I went for it. First early purchase issue since the Eddie Lee days. Hope springs eternal. :)

It's been awhile since you've done something like this, W. :)

Looks like all the pics of the completed watch and the tear down pics are the gen...look at the movement...

they say it is the gen in the listing. Not all parts are gen, they show many of the repped parts alongside the gen.
