436NR
I have the opportunity to purchase a gen Breitling 7750 movement complete with a gen Super Avenger black baton face. The seller is asking $895 USD. I was thinking of putting it in my rep case. Thoughts? Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
SSTEEL
What maker is your case? Is it fitted with an Asian 7750? If so, should drop right in. Best check the pushers though in the rep case to see if they are gen like. In most cases whilst they perform similar, their construction is different. ocram
Movement and dial for 895$ seems to be pretty expensive. If I'm right, doni01 sells the movement for 550$ and the dial isn't more than 200$.
krpster
Agree with Ocram, although if you add in Gen hands set the price may be pretty close. In any case, to answer you initial question, it will drop right in.
436NR
Thanks guys! I can get it for $695 USD, that's the movement, dial, and hands set in. I thought it might drop in as is. 436NR
Thanks! One thing still bugging me... The 30 min rider tab is offset. I might need to find a new bezel.

436NR
I'm jealous!! Where are you guys getting gen movement and dial?? I found this one on eBay. I researched the seller and the pics to try eliminate doubt on its authenticity. But I wasn't sure until I had it in my hands!
krpster
Very nice! Nothing like Gen parts to step it up a notch.
rete
Wow. I have two of those same movements (bought from probably the same ebay seller you used) and have a set of gen SA hands and a gen blue dial with baton markers coming in. Can't wait to transplant everything into my (white face) SA.

Best check the pushers though in the rep case to see if they are gen like. In most cases whilst they perform similar, their construction is different. Just out of curiosity for another project I'm working on: What constitutes gen like pushers? I've seen V2 Rep SA cases with "two part" pushers. Small pushers with loose pusher extenders that fit into the spacer ring to activate the mechanism, and V3 rep pushers that have long extenders that need the movement angled in toward the case to fit, but that won't work with a V2 movement ring, since the holes don't line up - In that case you'll need a V3 movement ring specifically with an open bottom on the edge to accomodate the extended pushers. Which is the accurate one for the gen?
436NR
I dropped this movement into what looks like a V2 case and ring that had the pushers that lay loose in the ring. This was an H-Fac that I purchased last month. The ring is a bit loose in the case.
