PeteM Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 Here are some good pics of the gen and the H which I have used from another kind souls thread on ZG forum..which I hope he doesnt mind REP Gen Gen Rep Gen on top Gen on top Gen on top Gen on top Gen Rep Gen Rep Gen Rep Gen Rep Rep on Right Rep on top[/uR L][url=http://s963.photobucket.com/user/petemch/media/ThreeSeven/Movement_zps5840b9bd.jpg.html] 3
chris5264 Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 cool....thanks for sharing....still can't bring myself to spend the cash on the gen...Ob the rep move is a big giveaway....any idea how many rep versions there are of the 372,,,mine looks pretty close but swear it has a gold cannon pinion..
PeteM Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 There are 3 versions that count now mate... H maker - as above Noob version - just released 3 series maker (Which may be the ZF maker I aint sure) - thats the one with the gold CP and likely blued screws in movement but I believe this will be updated shortly There are 2 more absolutely awful versions around too both from same maker but one of them has the LP lumed !!
StormTooper4 Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 Nice post. There's an gnats hair in it. Insanely good rep
Legend Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 Thank you Pete for going through the trouble. Its a very good rep on the wrist, almost indistinguishable from gen from what I can see.
PeteM Posted November 9, 2013 Author Report Posted November 9, 2013 Here are some pics I picked up elsewhere of the Noob version from some QC pics...gives you an idea I think The gen side by side with the H does show the differences, (differences that arguably are over critical ) case engraving depth finish, hands finish and lume thickness size, CP, case lugs difference, crown knurling, case shape difference, bezel difference, dial finish, LSL and LP plus lume and cutouts, CG shape and finish as well as lever, and of course case construction, H makers has welded lugs.... until we can see a side by side with the noob which hopefully will be soon comparison with the Noob is harder to judge at this time apart from the more obvious detail variations..like dial etc in meantime we must content ourselves with these sort of pics of the Noob
tech Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 Thanks for the post…this is a really good rep….I picked one up from my favorite shop in BKK for a friend…need to get me one though
Riccardorolex Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Dear all I'am looking for a Pam 372 as posted here or in this office, could any of your help me with this ? Could you specify differences existing among all different versions ? Many thanks .
Ljbaron Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Do you mind me asking where this rep was purchased from? It's very good
swdivad Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Nice comparison... Thanks for that... Mine's up for sale in a minute with a solid caseback ;-)
astonjenks Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Swdivad, let's see a post of your 372 for sale please? Regards AJ
rhubarb4 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Wow I must say that's very close indeed, I had to look twice at some of the photos to see which was the gen. Just the depth of the writing was the only thing that stood out, but that's close up so from a distance that's a cracker.
Ephry73 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 I dig it, except for the seemingly pinkish lume fill. Overall very good. Do you have shots of the lug engraving?
hambone Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 I tried on the gen at Caesars Panerai store last week and just love the watch. It runs 10K for the Gen. I would really like to have this one.
hambone Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 I have it now, The only tell really is the beige colored highlights on the edge of the letters, but one needs a jewelers loop to distinguish the difference, and 99% will never guess. It is indeed a superb rep, and a true classic Pam. I love it!
Ephry73 Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 Argh, me and my obsession with water resistance. I wonder how this watch fairs up with water. Looks really really good.
FROGMAN Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 I didn't realize the dial text was cut that deep. Great review!
panermaniac Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Argh, me and my obsession with water resistance. I wonder how this watch fairs up with water. Looks really really good. Mine should arrive in a day of two. I'll throw it in the tester and let you know.
Ephry73 Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Thanks Pan. I am currently working ona 6152, but this 372 looks sooo delicious. Definitely something I would love to get my hands on. Custom strap and good to go. Let us know what you find brother. E
EW1213 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I just got mine earlier this week.Except for the backcase that has different mechanism parts,i can say its totally awesome...
Ephry73 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Pete, The more I read about this 372 with the HIGH power reserve, the more I want it. Dammit this hobby. Any updates? E
