automatico Posted February 24, 2014 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 Stilty and I sent parts back and forth between the USA and Vancouver and sometimes it would take two or three weeks for him to get a package from me but when he sent something it always arrived in a week or so. panerai153 Posted February 24, 2014 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 I sent lots of watches to Ziggy as well as a few that I sold to Canadian buyers. Ziggy tried every shipping method and all had some problems. Always ended up back with Canada Post and USPS. What he required was always put on the customs form, broken timepiece for repair and return to sender. This was primarily to keep from having to pay customs duty on the incoming watches. A repair invoice is a good idea as well. I believe the big Hangup is Canadian customs. I sent watches USPS priority, and they would still take 10 days to 2 weeks to arrive. cc33 Posted February 24, 2014 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 Canada customs isn't stupid so if you send it use the tried and true "broken timepiece for repair and return to sender" as panerai153 pointed out. FedEx has in house brokers who are magicians at making the whole process seem seamless, ups uses brokers who should be shot. There's a delay every single time, lesson? Use fedex!
