sigfrieds Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 got the new factory's white dial Aqua Terra on Tuesday and took some pics with my black dial gen, the repro 8500 movement seems so far so good, just the jewel looks a bit too "pink" and the lume color of the hands running slightly darker compare the gen
Eppenger Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 honestly, i can't figure out which one is rep
sigfrieds Posted March 13, 2014 Author Report Posted March 13, 2014 honestly, i can't figure out which one is rep the white dial one is the rep
StormTooper4 Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 That's pretty impressive. How do they feel on the wrist? Much difference.?
sigfrieds Posted March 13, 2014 Author Report Posted March 13, 2014 That's pretty impressive. How do they feel on the wrist? Much difference.? the bracelet feels OK, the overall finish of the case is well, the clasp is a bit more tight compare the gen, and certainly not as smooth as the gen
krpster Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Not bad. Date font is a dead give away however. If you could swap it for a Gen part it would be pretty darn good. 1
sergio789 Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 date font is an instant letdown. if that is fixed, then watch might be a lot more desirable. 1
LaBravo Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 That date font and sometimes color has been my issue with a lot of the Aqua Terra models I have seen. The Aqua Terra model I want doesn't seem to be made yet which sucks but fingers crossed it will be soon. as a noob to this world... how hard would it be to swap out the date font with a more gen one? p.s. if anyone finds a good rep in this model PLEASE let me know! Aqua Terra 150 M Omega Co-Axial Annual Calendar 43 mm
knarfster Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 WHy don't people ever let you know what rep or dealer they bought from? Especially when it is a good rep?
Jkay Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 WHy don't people ever let you know what rep or dealer they bought from? Especially when it is a good rep? Because every dealer can get every watch. It doesn't matter where they bought it. As the old Forum saying goes "Choose your dealer, then choose your rep!" What this means is choose a good, solid seller and build a relationship with them over time as you make your purchases. They can all get any watch.
elloello Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Great review but like others that date font is horried between gen v rep but saying that I'm sure as V2 comes along all this will get ironed out,
ashtree Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 The date font is correct, The ATs have two fonts.
Maszie Posted April 6, 2014 Report Posted April 6, 2014 The date font is correct, The ATs have two fonts. Really? Every gen I saw on the internet has the dw with the "bigger" numbers. Maybe you can post some pictures. It would be interesting to see.
Hyjynx Posted April 6, 2014 Report Posted April 6, 2014 Omega AT date fonts on gens are more than one. The font on the rep is legit. Google it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thrasher Posted May 31, 2014 Report Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) What kind of movement does it have Miyota 8215 or a 2836/2824 variant. If its the Miyota how is the sweep of the second hand, it beating at 21,000 vph which is fine but I hear the 8215 has some gear lash problems were the sweeping seconds hand can stutter and hang for a second due to different angle of watch to earths core ie gravity. Does it feel solid if you wind it? Edited May 31, 2014 by Thrasher
sigfrieds Posted June 5, 2014 Author Report Posted June 5, 2014 WHy don't people ever let you know what rep or dealer they bought from? Especially when it is a good rep? Hi mate, I bought the watch from puretime, and the watch is made by the J12 factory, which is the same producer of the FC diver, the FC 44mm ROO and the AP V6 Diver

Does it feel solid if you wind it? It's a Miyota 8215 but actually I did not notice the gear lash problem, the feel of winding is similar as the A2836 seagull movement
