fraggle42 Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Mickey disassembled my ZF Pam 389 today to see why it'd stopped running, and found:- They are small "poo" shaped bits of rubber that are inserted around the movement holder. Supposedly to act as shock absorbers. Unfortunately the ZFac didn't bother cleaning them up, so they were covered with silicone lube and hence slipped around (assisted by the completely loose dial). One worked it's way around to the stem and was then chewed up, leaving lots of little bits of rubber all over the inside of the watch, stopping it. A lot of TLC later and everythings been cleaned up, reassembled, regulated and water proofed. All for €75. Baaaargain! And the rat droppings have been cleaned up so they will do what they were designed to do and stay where they have been put! (supposedly gen ones use the same system - I bet not quite the same!) 1
