fraggle42
I've been wearing this Sinn U1 for about 5 days now. It was set to 15 seconds fast when I got it and it's still there now. Zero gain or loss. Sellita SW200 movement in it. I've just worn it as normal and put it on bedside cabinet overnight, face up. I must put it on the timer tomorrow and see what that says in the 5 positions, but this thing has beaten the [censored] of all the other watches I've got. Quite remarkable! So what's the most accurate mechanical movement you have owned? Rep or gen?
panerai153
I have two that are both really accurate. The first is my MKII Kingston date with an ETA 2824 movement. It is consistently +2 seconds per day. My best rep now is my AP Rose Gold Diver which I believe has the Myiota movement, it is consistently -2 seconds per day. I don't have a timegrapher, so it's hard to tell, I just check the watch I'm wearing every morning with the atomic clock on the internet. I believe that a serviced movement of decent quality, such as any of the ETA movements, Sellita, the SeaGull ST2130, should be able to be adjusted to +/- 5 seconds per day. With some of the movements out there, especially the A7750's with odd seconds placements (sec@12 or sec@6, might be harder, to keep them consistent, what with the extra friction of the added parts. droptopman
Anything Matt has worked on. Went in to check the winder and they are all within a minute of the cable box. The TC and BK 's also. Only ones off are the out of box reps I haven't sent to Matt yet. All three are fast one over 5 minutes. Thanks Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

elconquistador
My highest accuracy movements have been 2 Sellitas that were within a second a day. A 7750 in a gen Tudor chrono and in a gen Breitling chrono avenger. All within 2 seconds per day on a timer and on the wrist.
Mike on a bike
Well I really do not know , I do not bother what's the dif never wear one long. This being said the Tudor in our raffle is running +- 5 seconds (courtesy misiekped) and the Borealis Sir Francis Drake I sent out in a raffle long ago running +- 1 sec a day (no loss n three days per jpz) , I bought another but never checked SW200 movement also fraggle. It would seem the SW200's run well.
jpz5142
I have great experience with a miyota 9215 movement, also about +/- 1 sec a day. It was in my Raven Deep 44mm that I just sold.
fraggle42
I think the trick is to get the differences between the positions as close to zero as possible. I remember reading on some forum a guy asking how to improve the differences and getting a very in depth answer about the main causes of them, designs, how well the teeth are cut, loose or close meshing between the teeth and if the oil is old it sticks to the side of the jewel holes and when the watch is on its side the friction from the old oil affects the regulation. Basically reducing friction. The fact that most reps are only good after a service really does point out the need for giving them a service! wiesn089
My Grand Seiko SBGR083. +3 seconds a day on average. Depending on the way I lay it down I can get it to +-1, but I usually just keep it in my box.
