For the Dutchies - package stuck in customs, content and value not clear.

I checked today the tracking status of a incoming watch, and Postnl told me I will soon receive a letter so I can give them more info about the contents and value of the package.

According to them this is not clearly defined by the sender, and I need to provide some info about this.

 

Does any of the Dutchies on this forum had this before, and what should I do?

Yes this just happened to me today  and I need to send an invoice to customs to have it released.

 

Ask dealer for an invoice to document your purchase and item.

This watch does not come from a dealer. Its a watch I bought here via M2M.

Well what is it ? If you show them PP receipt for X and it certainly worth more as Gen could get confiscated or they charge you VAT on gen cost, ouch!

Guys put in receipt for repairs with cost break down to match PP, even though I triangle to EU through UK put in for UK customs. They are pretty loose with conus stuff but can not hurt.

Yeah do as Mike do received a watch from him in Denmark because of the receipt he made They opened it up and it cleared

And Denmark is probably the most strict customs in the World

Oh I'm sorry to hear that fellow Dutchy! 
I always enclose a fake invoice, that I repaired the watch. If it got stuck I'll send the fake invoice also to the buyer so he can print it and show it.. 

Hope you can work this out with the customs!

I just got two packages from Mike on a Bike, both without trouble (one was triangle shipping via AJ, otherone straight from USA)

Well, this is the first time for me, never had any issues before.

I hope I can sort this out soon, and then the watch (a PAM Honpo 187) will arrive at my doorstep (in this case at my office doorstep, because I had it shipped to my office)
