Aidan Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I was wearing my Orange Planet Ocean the other day when my daughter stunned me by accusing the watch of being gay. I know it has a bright Orange leather strap but I never knew it was gay. To top it all I has an Orange Bell and Ross on last night my wife saw it and accused that of being gay too. My daughter said it was gay in a 1970's way. Are they going to call my Breitling with a blue face and strap gay too? Can watches be gay? How have other people on here dealt with this issue. Which is the most gay watch.
section8 Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I love the orange PO, but i wouldn't put an orange band on it, that's just me. Too much color. As far as the B&R well, 46mm of orange is a lot of orange
ubiquitous Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Maybe they mean 'gay' as in happy... All those colors... Happy colors.
V Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 The for the most 'gay' watch can be given to the following beauty:
HauteHippie Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I'll agree to an extent with your daughter... The orange strap, IMO, on the orange PO is a bit over the top.
ubiquitous Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 The for the most 'gay' watch can be given to the following beauty: What do you mean, Veni? That's the next franken on my list to be built...

Which is the most gay watch. These are exactly the TWO watches I recieved an hour ago. And NO, they are not gay. (but I'd never put on an orange strap on my arm!)
V Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 What do you mean, Veni? That's the next franken on my list to be built...
Chicken Manny Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 In a word, yes. Orange strap = Gay Sorry man. Just change the strap and you are good to go. As far as the B&R, I don't see anything wrong with that unless it matches your chaps.
crystalcranium Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Hey...not that there's anything wrong with that.... An Omega Planet Ocean an "outing" watch???? Don't think so. A Piaget.....maybe!
gregers Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Omega did use Ian Thorpe to help launch the rather gay, orange strapped PO. Ooops, slur.
section8 Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 The for the most 'gay' watch can be given to the following beauty: Holy Jesus. Please tell me this is a joke.
2005SUBMARINER Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 yea i think the ORNAGE strap is a lil on the gay side "not that theres anything wrong with that " but i wouldent use any bright colors on my wrist .. only stainless steel for me
Guest avitt Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Maybe they just meant that the watches are G-H-E-Y... However, if you ever find yourself wearing one while watching Martha Stewart or Barbra Streisand, then it's not just the watch that's gay
Pugwash Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Holy Jesus. Please tell me this is a joke. It's no joke. The Orange PO isn't effeminating on steel, so it must be girlificating only on the Orange strap. The B&R, however, is overcompensating for something.
By-Tor Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 What do you mean, Veni? That's the next franken on my list to be built... Ok... but you need to steal The Queen's Crown Jewels first... to get some source parts.
Chicken Manny Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 A Piaget.....maybe! LOL! Every time I see a Piaget I think of this guy.

V Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 As Homer says... I like my beer cold...my TV Loud.... and my Homosexuals Faaaaalaaaaaaming
docblackrock Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Hey Puggy, interesting that the 111 in your sig seems to sport what looks suspiciously like a strap with a definite hint d'orange. The plot thickens...
Pugwash Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Hey Puggy, interesting that the 111 in your sig seems to sport what looks suspiciously like a strap with a definite hint d'orange. See, you're just being hopeful there.
offshore Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 See doc, photoshop can edit the worst of sins.. even gayness Offshore
docblackrock Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Actually, this came up at last weekend whilst browsing Omegas at my local AD - the manager went to pull an 'orange' on me, I raised a manly eyebrow fixed him with a thousand-yard stare and jabbed a manly finger at the black version. 'Only oranges look good in orange' I stated as if to drive the point home even further. He gave a conspiratorial sideways look before concurring he also hated the orange before pulling out the latest just-in 2006-7 dealer brochure. ' Here, look at THIS monstrosity....' THIS IS BY DEFINITION OF THIS THREAD, THE GAYEST WATCH OF THEM ALL.... I warn you all now, the picture you are about to see are liable to make you gasp in shock, little children scream in terror, and Tom Cruise to smile appreciately (oops, ANOTHER slur ). Furthermore I accept no liability for any unforeseen adverse events from viewing said pic. So without furthe.....Aaargh, my eyes!!! (*clawing and scratching*)
V Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 THIS IS BY DEFINITION OF THIS THREAD, THE GAYEST WATCH OF THEM ALL.... No its not.. Put gay watch on google and the result is this: http://www.allgayjewelry.com/gaywatches.htm Gay Pride Watch Size Medium With Leather Band
tenacious_b Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 AAAARRRGGGGG My eyes!!! Ze goggles do nuhsing!!!! Seriously Aidan, the true test of a watch's gayness is it's ability to infect or infuse others with it's gayness. Do you find yourself talking with a lisp, or otherwise femming it up when you wear the watches in question? Do you find your inner monologue takes on the persona of Mr/Mrs Garrison from Southpark? Do you call guys that you've just met "Cowboy?" If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I'd have to say yes, your watches are most likely gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
