edmundo528
I bought this watch around 8 years ago. I can't remember where I bought it from. Can anyone help by looking at the pics? I read some of the posts members post here. And you are all seem to know where the watches come from. Thanks in advance.

tomhorn
This is a bit of a mis-matched watch. The open 6 in the datewheel points to a 18038, but I don't believe the dial or the hologram sticker were used in that model. They would indicate it's a 18238. Guest
Those engravings are 4x better than anything recent I've seen.
edmundo528
The watch seems to be very well made. The end pins are very think. I've never seen any like this in any other rep. That's why I'm trying to figure out where it can from
edmundo528
I just found out by searching my old emails from when I bought this watch. I bought it from replicadetails. I see they had some bad reviews. I guess I was one of the lucky ones when I got this
kbh
8 years ago I don't think anyone gave actual names to different factories. Plus there has to be hundreds, if not thousands, of mini rep factories (aka bedrooms, kitchen tables, closets, etc) with Rolex DJ DD assemblers. The most popular reps ever made, by the millions. It would surely be impossible to track down the maker.
edmundo528
Thanks kbh. But I did find out it was replica details.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kbh
Sorry, I thought you were asking about the manufacturer, not the seller.
edmundo528
That's cool. I was trying to find the manufacturer and or seller. This is one of the best quality reps I've seen. And wanted another from them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
alligoat
I can't see where replicadetails is around these days. It's not a bad looking rep- the case appears to be correct for a Day-Date with the flat spot between the lugs. A few weeks ago we saw another DD that was similar- appeared to be good quality also, someone said it might be an MBW. But even MBWs are hard to find these days. Mymanmatt builds very nice rep DJs and DDs with gold cases. They might cost a little bit more but the quality is there. I built this DJ with his case and a gen white dial It was very reasonable costwise around $400 with a swiss eta.
kbh
I just made this from one of Mymanmatt's DD cases and a eBay watch that I bought for the movement. Glad I kept it.

The dial by itself costs more than that in good condition.
alligoat
The dial was $158 from Yuki! Sure wish he had some more.
Bc1221
I'm not usually a fan of gold but that DJ is a beaut! Love the dial!
