lemonpark
hey guys, I've finally joined the club after owning a rep for about a year now and recently wanted to know more about movements and watches in general and this has been a great source of help To start off, my first rep was a Rolex Explorer II but the date wheels has stop working and I can only manually change dates now (doesn't tick over to the next day at 12.) It was a cheap rep and I have completely stopped wearing it and will sell it on to get anther Rolex, probably a Platinum Daytona (love the blue dial) After that was my AP ROO Diver from noob which is what got me back into reps and "super reps". I love how close these are the the gens (back doesn't really bother me, it's mostly just the watch face and how accurate it is. I have since worn my AP often and still love it to this day Yesterday I got my 3rd rep which was a Panerai PAM 299 "O" from noob. It is also a "super rep" and I love it!!! I also purchased a brown leather strap for it and i love how easy it is to change straps! I am now looking for my next rep, at first I wanted the PP Nautilus but still tossing up between that or a nice dress watch, something more classic. I've had a look but it's hard to find a good rep. If anyone can shed some light on which "classic" style watches are "super reps" that would be great. I'm looking for something like a A Lange & Sohne or Patek style classic watch. Something minimal though and nothing too complicated. Something like this with the smaller seconds dial would be exactly what I'm looking for. or even something with a date wheel, but one of the ones that has all the numbers on the dial and a hand just points at the date (i don't know what to call this, something like this If anyone knows of any super rep's of either this watch or something similar and could point me in the right diirection that would be great! Thank you for your time, and here are a few pics of my watches Edited November 26, 2014 by lemonpark

kernow
Welcome to the forum. Better start saving. Things get expensive!! Yes, indeed. You may have to sell the BM and buy a Daewoo just to feed the habit! Anyway, welcome and enjoy your stay.

I am considering getting a bionic implant just for that purpose...
GenTLe
Have you thought about a Rolex Cellini? Narikaa and FatPanda (watchfinder) at the other RWG have some very good and quite inexpensive ones.
