On the road to my Franken Day-Date 18038 & 18238 build

Last year I embarked on the journey of building an All gold Datejust 16018. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=193280&highlight=16018

Sadly I sold it to a member over @ RWG....I hope he is enjoying it. Now I realized I miss having an all gold watch. What do I do now? Build another FG watch ofcourse! And my pick is a Day-Date Presidential 18038 & 18238. Yes...2(maybe even 3).  Below are the parts I have gathered thus far

Gen 18kt bezel for Sapphire crystal
Gen 18kt Crown for 18200
Gen Gold dial
Gen Black & Gold dial(I think might be refinished)
Gen Champagne dial with Aftermarket diamonds
High quality clone ETA 2836-2 (with H4 CP & HW)
Clark's gold dress hands for Tudor
Clark's 25-295c
Rep 18kt GP mid case & case back
Rep Presidential band

I'm torn on which one to build first. I know for sure its the diamond dial that going to be the 18038 because of the aged dial dots. An open 6 & 9 DWO & aged hands to match the dial will make the cipher complete.Mymanmatt would probably be executing this builds. I will keep you guys posted on what i decide.

Nice, I still love a nicely done full gold Rolex.  That Champagne and diamond dial looks to be in perfect condition.  I have always been a sucker for a gold stick marker dial though.  Tough choice.  I definitely like the gold tone dials better than black but that is just me.  Matt will make those baby's sing...Good luck on the project.

Looks like some nice builds on the horizon!! I too prefer the champagne dial with stick markers.

To the poster asking about mymanmatt, he is a member here, and you can PM him. He is the master of Datejust and Day Date builds.

Any pointers on sourcing the same types of parts as these just with a white face instead.
