bokkiebeh
Hi watchlovers and especially U-Boat lovers listen up!! I talked to one of the respected dealers here and asked him if there was a change to get a good Quality U-Boat replica in the future. He didn't really know the brand and thought it was a fashion brand (because it was in a earlier topic) He looked up the website and and said that it would not be difficult to make a good replica of this watch, because of the right movements (eta and unitas) in the gens. I don't agree with the person who thinks it's a fashion watch. I think U-Boat does have a tradition in Europe and will be on the market in fututre. I would buy one of the newer models as a rep for sure and they are getting more expensive every year. Who would buy a good rep of the U-boat when it would come out and which model do you like??? Please sent as much feedback as possible, so we can get a good look on the big picture. http://www.u-boatwatch.it/en/index.html I personally like the classico AB 4 and the flightdeck ABO
got-it
Yes, I am very high on the classicos as well. count me in as one who'd like to see a rep of this.
Richard Tracy
........sorry, to sell a watch to a few replica buyers on a board is not sufficient for a manufacturer to invest a ton of money for an unknown brand of watch... It would have to follow the path of Panerai before it could possibly happen... but now it's premature to even contemplate... Great looking watch however... and I hope they make their mark... bokkiebeh
Maybe you're right! But it's worth to give it a try and see how many people would like to have it. Hope lives.....

tonton2000
hmmmm...... Do you really think these could go the way of panerai i.e $3000 today -------> $30,000 in 4-6 years?
stac
Well... From what I understand the U-Boat brand is VERY popular in Europe. I suppose rep makers can find a market there and make a profit. I'm a Rolllie guy but I like to switch it up a bit with the "tuna-can" Panerai's... I'd love to see a U-Boat rep! Count me in
longshot
personally i think a line of anonimo reps would be far, far more popular that the u-boat line. simple to rep and a huge amount of crossover with pam owners in the geuine world plus they really seem to have the same sort of cachet that pam has: http://www.anonimo.com/
thealphabeta
Yes yes and yes....they're superb watches - im with you on this!
bokkiebeh
Hi Richard, It looks like you're right. People love the watch, but the quantity might not be enough (SO FAR.)
fitmic
I'd buy one if they'd be repped!
Dani
The Uboat pics over here looked like a mix betwen pam and hublot
morgan
Great looking watches from UBoat... I'd buy a rep in a new york minute. Some Anonimos w/ the crown at 6 would be tough to knock off but others a snap. I'd buy those too!
statikman
I would absolutely buy a U-Boat Left Hook rep. I've wanted one for quite a while.
Richard Tracy
Hi Richard, It looks like you're right. People love the watch, but the quantity might not be enough (SO FAR.) Even if you received 10,000 'yeah I like it's looks,..' posts,... still it won't be enough for any manufacturer to invest the substantial amount needed to rep the watch. Even if you paid for it's build, they still would not stock it for you. Why not ? This watch may be known in sections of Europe,.. but until it's popularity crosses over to become a household name in America, Canada, Australia Japan, ect. ect ect.. it's not worth the risk.... And that may Never happen.. . http://www.slate.com/id/2155600/pagenum/all .........................
Everythingape
No matter if they rep it sometime or not, (and no matter how much Richard Cohen writes) I would still love one. It's a great looking watch!

Goochenbrau
Id buy one. Ive always wanted a U Boat, but I always thought they were overpriced for what you get, so a rep would be perfect for me.
Aidan
I would buy one, unusual sort of watch that breaks the ice at parties (I go to very tame parties)
scottie333
hmmmm...... Do you really think these could go the way of panerai i.e $3000 today -------> $30,000 in 4-6 years? I would have one. I like the Thousands of Feet MB - Black with Yellow Dial. I also like the Night Vision. I would like to see the Crown on the right on whatever Rep they made though. Scott.
