Looks legit, but I've been fooled before, that insert is artificially faded though

Oh, I forgot always buy the seller, not the watch.

+1, buy the seller first. If possible check their sales history and pay with a credit card. Once you receive it get it checked by a local specialist.

The "S" is wrong in SUBMARINER so it's an ftermarket dial and hands.  I'm not loving the case either.

Look at the "backwards Z" in a genuine dial... and the minutes hand should be slightly narrower than the fat segment of the hours hand below its diamond... the tip of the hours hand will also be narrower than the fat trunk.

Here is another example of a gen. I owned this one for quite a while and only sold it to buy a Tudor "big block" Chrono.

I'm not crazy about the dial, hands, and the date mag looks way off to me. The 9411/0 like the Rolex 1680 with 2.5x mag makes the numbers a lot bigger than what I'm seeing with this one. Another thing, as old as these watches are, the engraving on the Caseback is going to be worn and smoother, this one looks like it was engraved yesterday.

Al in all, I'm not feeling any love for this one!!

After looking at the photos, I'm thinking this is a watch assembled from parts. The dial and hands don't look correct, probably aftermarket or refinished. Since you didn't have any photos of the movement, no way of telling if it's the correct movement. I believe the Crystal is not a gen Tudor, either. Period correct bracelet would be a 9315 folded link, with the 380B endlinks. Those look OK. The crown should be s Rolex crown, not sure what yours is.

If I were looking for a gen Tudor sub, I would keep looking, this one just raises too many questions for me.

There is a possibility that the dial is the original to the watch, but redialed. Doesn't mean it's fake, just redialed (not a great job if so). Also, that bezel insert, as mentioned, is definitely not a natural fade. If the seller is legit, do as other have mentioned and get it authenticated after purchase. If the seller is legit, they would either do that for you or allow it to be done.

Exactly, there is no provenance there, and nobody is going to vouch for it. Part of trading in Rolex (Tudor) is the ability to gain value over time and that comes from provenance.

The dial is genuine and it's made by Perrelet! There are different styles of the Snowflake dials.

Perrelet was the last dial maker for the Tudor Snowflakes if I remembered correctly.

The feet on Beyeler is Ft

The feet on Perrelet is Ft

Watch is genuine to me,  right dial, case, hands,  bezel, insert,  crown and bracelet.

This a reference 94110

You are sure about this?  The writing on that dial is anything but crisp.  Both of the genuine that are shown have very crisp lettering while the one in question looks very thick and fuzzy for lack of a better term.  Even if this one is a genuine I would pass on it and look for one that does not even have a shadow of a doubt that it is real.  Plus I think that one that looked more like the others would be much easier to sell and for a good price. I know everyone here seems to love the faded dials, but honestly this dial is beat up and there are many of us who like a tad faded but not beat to cr##

for everyone's information:

Dial is genuine, caseback is genuine, crystal has the right mag (not sure if its genuine though). The T125 cyclops is more to the right (to accommodate the eta movement) and it has weaker mag than the 1680 crystals.

I have this version - the positive to this dial version is that it doesn't 'rot' like the previous versions.

here's a pic of mine - notice the dial printing and cyclops.

Also, the bezel insert appears to be fat font so probably not artificially faded? mine is a service insert and you can tell as the font is much thinner. Though those black streaks don't give me as much confidence haha

I'm 101% sure that this kind of dial is genuine! Pictures are not the best but there is no Aftermarket Perrelet style Snowflake dial!

Beat up dial?  It's the last Snowflake dial made so I don't understand what you mean by faded.

Its black and beautiful with no chips or bubbles.

Well, dip me in batter and call me a donut ... you learn something new every day.

Although, I bought the Frosty Flake's valuable guts from nick1972 and at that time the consensus was that a Snowflake Submariner HAD TO have the "backwards Z" dial.  :g:

So there we have it, confirmation that it's a gen from two of the forum's Silverbacks,  You can't ask for much better validation than that.  :tu:

Yes Nanuq,  you have a Beyeler dial which is the right one for the older Snowflakes ;)

"Older" Snowflakes?!  Well!!!  :nono:

I'll have you know the Frosty Flake is a lady of a certain age, and well seasoned.  Certainly not OLD!

*harumph*

My apologies :)

Nick, I now have a question on the tudor on the link you included.  Why are the hands soo much lighter than the markers on the dial?  almost looks like they were done with different lumes?  Is that normal?

Yes very normal in Tudor standards!
