rolojack
Here is a TOTALLY modified DW case. All faces reworked ! Top of the lugs, sides... It now has the correct early "tonneau" shape we all love to see. Note the extra clear and correct shaped Verlux crystal. The only aftermarket crystal that is a match to the original T21

freddy333
Excellent work on the case re-shaping, but I am not sure about your characterization of the OEM crystal shape. It looks like the aftermarket crystal you have on your watch has flat sides that curve. The curve of the original crystal began at the bezel. But I do not think anyone would cite that as an indication of fakery since most gens have been fitted with a modern T21, which is beveled (which is my preference, since it gives the watch a jewel-like quality) instead of curved. Well done in any case.

Avenue
Very beautiful watch, I will pm you for another question. However, for everyone and for discussion; isn't this the "Pre-Daytona" Ref. 6238 instead of the 6239? The ref. 6238 was produced from the early 1960's to 1967. It is often referred as the "Pre-Daytona" as it shows the transition between the cosmographs and the Daytona that was issued in 1963. Your caseback indicates that it was delivered to the Peruvian Airforce. (Fuerza Aero del Peru). Around 1000 6238's were delivered to that airforce. On a side note, I do however agree on the fact that your bezel is a 6239.
