lovepanerai Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 Great Pics!! Angus? What strap is it? 39mm or 42mm? Thx Andreas Angus = Puretime replica IWC strap 39mm
fitmic Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Great pictures!!! It's sad that the watch is too small for me. Minimum 45mm.
mossanti Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I like it a lot ..but the turn off part - no AR coating...but its really nice
Usil Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Strange on the wrist shot the numbers go black. Usil
ryaku Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 actually it is not strange at all, happens with all black face, silver marker watches at a certain angle/lighting Definitely, same with my Tag heuer.
scoobs1971 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Very nice pics!! What a beautiful watch! Unfortunately it seems to me that the word ´Schaffhausen´ is not correctly outlined. It looks bigger than in the gen pic. But that´s a minor detail I can live with. Just waiting for my EU dealer to have the white dial version in stock... Can´t wait to read the review, though....
gran Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Thanks for sharing it is a fine watch..love those black dials...
bosk Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Thanks for sharing it is a fine watch..love those black dials... I wear mine alot and I just ordered the superlume kit from LWA over on the darkside. It will look great with superlumed hands I'm trying to find a SS bracelet that will fit. I took off the SS from my UTC IWC but there is a small gap between bracelet and case -bosk
OrangeSpoon Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 very nice watch! i want a good IWC rep like that, but maybe with a white/silver dial do you think the rep is of a good enough standard to invest in AR coating? i suppose a lack of AR is not so bad on a lighter coloured dial
Stephane Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Wow very nice pics, thanks for that. Now it is on my list too... I would pick the white/silver dial too Cheers Stephane
Pugwash Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 River was selling the white/silver dial for an impossibly low $139 recently. I'm getting my Flieger Chrono (nearly the same as this) AR-coated soon, so I believe it's worth it.
jdkno Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 How many versions of the gen are there? This watch is very beautiful but the more I look into them the more I wonder how acurate they are. I noticed some gens look pretty dead on to the one you have. I don't think it is the writing under the date I think its that the date is more to the outside of the watch on the rep. All the gens I have seen the outer circle if you will seems to cut through where the middle of the first number would be on a date that has more than one number. I also see gens where the subdials are more to the middle of the watch so that the 3, 6, & 9 markers are turned longways. There are also two lume dots at 12 one on each side of the arrow head. Anyone know whats going on with all the different gen models?
madonna Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 @jdknod IWC changed the model from 39mm to 42mm around 2006, so the one you describe is the new version. The 39mm rep of the 2005 mod and older is very close to the gen 39mm, mostly it is the missing AR that is visible. I bought the silver dial version from River, and it is great
scoobs1971 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Does anyone know if the 42mm version has been repped yet?
