rolojack Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 A tribute to the amazing quality of the ZF thin cases. The steel quality is excellent, very bright ! The mirror finishes are fairly easy to obtain and don't scratch easily... Here, I reshaped it to my taste. Mostly on the 9 o'clock side to achieve that "liquid metal drop" aspect Rolex are so nice for. The original shape was definitely off there. With a '04 gen bracelet it would be really exciting. Besides the outer case reshaping, rehaut was trimmed to first generation specs and the movement was altered to totally remove the date and month mechanism.
508-Fanatic Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 What would you charge to do that work if I sent you a straight outta China ZF fresh from a TD?
irolexu Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 How is the second hand on this model? Does it jump and stutter or smooth sailing seconds? I've been debating buying one I just don't want a jumpy hand
rolojack Posted July 5, 2016 Author Report Posted July 5, 2016 It works just fine. Its the 7750 based chronos that have issues... This movement is pretty stable once the day month functions are removed.
