dosanim Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 (edited) Hanzo was actually Masashige, a member of the Hattori family of Iga and was a clandestine ninja during the 1500's in feudal Japan. To my knowledge, I don't think he had anything to do with fabricating swords; rather he was a skilled swordsman and assassin. Sony Chiba played Hattori Hanzo for number of times in 80's Japanese Ninja TV show, Shadow warrior. I thought it was funny that he played sowardsmith in Kill Bill. May be QT was paying homage to SC for his Ninja days. It was good show. BTW, mine is my nickname from Grad,School. It means, in Korean, Master of manythings. Edited April 21, 2006 by dosanim
