It has a very accurate dial and hands, although the font for SUBMARINER is not non-proportional, it has short "E"s and squashed "S". Curious. The coronet is narrow as it should be with a flattened opening. The caseback is correctly shaped and nicely engraved, and the CGs are very good, as is the bezel. The crown is not gen and there are what appear to be fixed bars in the lugs but they don't protrude to the outside of the lugs. It boasts an "A.A. movement that looks a little like ETA but isn't. A tropic 21 crystal fits perfectly although the one on it now is a mystery too. It's a great starting point for a beater! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
