Finished my GMT II project using the new CHS case,Gen dial, gen hands, Gen Crystal, Gen Bezel assem and insert, Gen crown and tube, gen datewheel and a yuki/3135/3186 hybrid with a number of gen parts to make it function exactly like the gen 3186, even has the gen 3186 bridge installed for accuracy ? The movement work was done by the master himself Misiekped and amazing work indeed as per usual !! Thanks !!

It was a fun watch to build but a pit of a pain in the ass to mount the movement in the case correctly and in the end used a Panerai bezel gasket to use as a thin spacer to keep the movement in place and it worked perfectly !! And looks great !

Anyways here are some shots of the finished product.

This watch is awesome and your pics inspired me to build my own. I have all of the parts...but my gen 3186 won't fit in the noob case I have. Where did you get the chs case or is there another case that would take a gen movement? Thanks and enjoy!!

My brother above has a humility which tends to hide his considerable skills. If you need help to own a watch like this, you could do much worse than contact @misiekped

Sorry fellas, not been around in a while.. been back at work offshore, then had to rush home last week as my fiancée went into labour 5 days early.. been a hell of a ride the past few weeks lol

@Jaketime , to answer your question, I used the new CHS noob case and although the winding stem sits very very slightly off, the 3186 fits well. You just need to make up the spacer to centralize the movement in the case.

I modified a crystal gasket from a 44mm Panerai to fill the gap and it worked out perfect. There is obviously some trimming etc. To be done, but it works. I will be changing this to a metal spacer when I can get someone to machine one for me as I don't have the precision lathe to do the work on my own.

You cannot not go wrong with Misiekped ! He does amazing work ! And if you are not used to manipulating and fabricating things to work in watches, you are best to have someone who's in the know, to assemble it for you as it will save you a lot of headaches.

Cheers ! And good luck with the watch ! You will not regret it! I've had mine side by side with the gen and it's pretty much perfect !

Thanks Altes. Congrats man hope everyone is happy and healthy. Appreciate the info, I did the smart thing and sent to Misiekped. No doubt I would have just made a mess. Can't wait to get it back. Thanks again and enjoy the new addition.
