My Oceaneva GMT rated to 1250 mts. They test these watch's on a rov in the ocean to that depth.

why? That’s 900 meters deeper than the point at which the diver would be crushed.

  • PADI certification
The maximum depth for a PADI Scuba Diver is 40 feet (12 meters), and the maximum depth for a PADI Open Water Diver is 60 feet (18 meters). An Advanced Open Water Diver can dive up to 100 feet (30 meters). A PADI Deep Diver can dive up to 130 feet (40 meters).

When I was diving  in the early 90s I'd go to over 150ft  every few months.  Most of my training dives were at 40ft plus.

I’ve never been more than forty feet. I was only ever a hobby diver. Much of the time I wore a Casio F91w that isn’t dive rated at all. I still have that watch
