Quick PICTORIAL review of the called "NOOB SUB V8 SWISS GEN" from TORO !

I got two days ago this beautiful watch and i thought i had to share it with you...

This is great watch, and i want to keep it for a long time; need to say this is the only watch i own now, but i am more than  happy with this piece

I show you a lot of pictures; maybe too much but like that you will get a lot of informations to take your own decision...

First of all, i choose the swiss movement because Toro had it in stock, i mean in his company; he was able to show me some pics in the hour when i asked him :good:

1 ) The movement:

From the pictures of the movement, i have no reason to doubt about the fact it is not a swiss sellita; the antichoc KIF looks gen and the overall finshing looks fine. It runs very, very well as it took only +4 seconds in 48 hours !20170802_111806.thumb.jpg.18ce4a72e4ed8a7d76bccb7cc736769c.jpg

2 ) The cyclop:

Another thing surpised me is he cyclop; it's the first time i see such a nice effect on a NOOB sub....There is now no blue tint at all and i think we are very near from the black hole effect.

You will see on the pics that the date is really nice and clear and i think it's not necessary to spend 500usd for a gen chrystal with AR....

3 ) The sel fitment:

I think i am very lucky with the sel...They are both perfect and i can't see any space between them and the lugs.

They are just a bit recessed as i like and the edges of the first links are sharp, it's very important to me !

4 ) The bezel insert :

I don't know exactly if this is the best Noob insert we can get, the lightest green that exists, but i am pretty happy with it; the pearl is nice and well installed and the silver paint is pretty nice, even easy to see on differents lighting condition !20170802_142748.thumb.jpg.2afa670dbbe6f79ad4b33c305ac130c2.jpgthe numbers are clean and pretty visible with some differents lighting condition....If i had to change one thing on this watch (and if i had the funds :inverted:), i would buy a gen insert because it is really far from the rep one .

20170802_132034.thumb.jpg.d727637620661f8c32676e29f4aff969.jpg

5 ) The rehault :

I am impressed by the rehault engraving, this is a great work; the letters are clean and it's very shiny to me B)

20170802_142939.thumb.jpg.642fb9f36cfac5be1cc63f570fb2c157.jpg

6 ) The dial :

I love that dial ! This is the new dial from noob with a new font.

The sunburst effect is the best i have seen in every condition.....I noticed also that it has some thin hours markers like the gen  !

Now let's enjoy some beautiful pictures taken by a sunny day !

I've never been a Hulk fan but this one is changing my opinion. It looks great. Wear in good health.

Thank you bro, this one is a true nice piece :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Will tell you something....I am a lucky man !

This morning, i got some gen Rolex springbars for this watch....here is the short story !

I had nothing to do this morning so i thought i would give my bracelet an oil bath....When i removed the stock springbars, i noticed they were hard to remove; i saw that they were both twisted on one side and i must say it's been a long time that i saw that on Noob bars.

I tried to rectify the issue with a tweezer but it finally broke :clap3:  Just imagine how disappointed i was...

But i remembered i had a guy who could maybe help me...I know pretty well the watchmaker of the unique Rolex exclusive boutique here where i bought some watches when i was rich enough... so i contacted him; i explained that my father in law has to change the springbars of his rolex 114060, and as i will visit him for holydays i will try to change these parts...he lives in a small town and has no opportunity to get this thing

He just told me that usually he doesn't provide some spare parts but he will make an exception this time :spiteful:

I just went to the boutique and he gave me these bars for free...So i can wear my watch now ! I have seen a pair of these at 80usd on Ebay !

I want to tell that there is no play at all at the SEL now...Gen springbars are unbeatable !

Pics of the gen springbars...20170805_123632.thumb.jpg.0498ea97978dc2038f0a17facc1a77e5.jpg20170805_123647.thumb.jpg.14259c69225d85d885e304b3589698d4.jpg

Gen springbars installed...

Stock bars and one is broken !

"I have seen a pair of these at 80usd on Ebay !"

ST and a few other USA supply houses have swiss made spring bars identical to oem for less than $2 each.  They should be available from watch material supply houses in France too.

Your watch probably had lower quality China made spring bars...they are $29.95 for 90 assorted sizes from ST.

Rolex does not make their own spring bars.

Thank you but they are not exactly made like the OEM...mine have double flange at both ends and i doubt they work like the gen !

Also i like the finish of these piece, it's beautiful

Anyway i had them for free so it's all good for me....and i wouldn't pay 80usd on ebay for that !

Look at this on Ebay  http://www.ebay.fr/itm/ROLEX-116610-SUBMARINER-WATCH-DOUBLE-FLANGE-SPRING-BAR-20-MM-MINT-ORIGINAL-/253036796148?hash=item3aea2b18f4:g:WOkAAOSwA3dYa-Qg

And look at the bars from ST , the ends are not as fat end it will give more play on the sell, believe me...

Beautiful!!! And gen springs also have much more strength in the spring, remember that only 2 small pieces of steel make the difference between holding it on your wrist or losing it...then 80 usd on a Gen of 9k doesn't sound that bad

I bought it , and I’m disappointed 😔, overall it looks better in picture then in real life ..

the white round thing, don’t remember what it’s called , can’t sit a 12 exactly ,  the . Upgraded version with better and more robust steel , ain’t true ether .. its same as always , easy scrating ,  the horns is also a little to shap in the edges .. if I look at the watch Farr away it’s accapteble , otherwise feels funny in chain cous of the metal used , and do you have a watch to compare with , its a 75 % god job , I bought his best work : toro at the time . I was also typing with him ,    Often think he send me the wrong watch the old slobby version
