Great photos. The yellow dial looks far better with PVD case than ss in my opinion and the strap/yellow dial combo is sweet. I like it!

hi,

the original gen 210A is a pvd pre vendome pam. not with steel case.

panerai have built only two pieces, not more. thats why the gen 210A are really exorbitant expensive.

assumed you can purchase one.

hi,

you can buy it from davidsen.

i've bought from him only the dial, hands and caseback.

i would my own pvd case and a gen unitas movement.

cheers

I think Rolli is by far the best and the master of PVD so far. He really works with PVD maker on this. I wish I could have PVD maker like this locally. Maybe will need your help someday, Rolli.

It is much better than original davidsen offer. I would like davidsen to work more on PVD. I think your is maybe not quite a PVD, maybe it is DLC, dimond like coating. That is why the surface look exactly gen because it is the same process as gen.

Cannot be better. Great watch.

hi,

i have made a lot of tests before i've got the ratio mixture ceramic / corundum for the bead-blasting and the real pvd color.

it is not so cpmplicated.

Having this dial commissioned in early 2006 for my own use, DSN asked recently to release more beyond the orignal run of 2 dials; which I originally owned. At that point it seemed a good idea to see more of these interesting watches. Not everyone likes the dial, but I particularly do for the same reasons people hate it. Good to see more of these evolving. I originally matched my own case look to the PAV GEN buckle strap texture and shade.

The GEN used a 5218/210a caseback, but was in fact a prototype and never made for public sale.

I happen to inherit one of these 5218-210 with the other numbers 006 on the back. Would love to learn more about it which I have from this page but what does a watch like the pictures of the orange dial go for? I don’t have the original box and keep it safe in a case.
