By-Tor Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Today's eyecandy: My Rollies. Enjoy! PS: Bored with the wood surface yet? I guess it's my trademark...just like Ubi's granite.
deltatahoe Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 wood grain never gets old -- i think it lends a classy look to watch pictures. pretty much all of my pictures have a wood grain background too...
ubiquitous Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Eye candy is always good And, it's good to have a trademark! Only in my case, I need to vary up the subjects a little more...
Guest chronomat123 Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Honest to God, that looks just like the genuine GMT on my wrist. The SELs give it away, but not noticeably so. Great watch. Today's eyecandy: My Rollies. Enjoy! PS: Bored with the wood surface yet? I guess it's my trademark...just like Ubi's granite.
By-Tor Posted February 28, 2007 Author Report Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks Chronomat. Here's yet another shot...
Pugwash Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I guess it's my trademark...just like Ubi's granite. I love the wood, you've got the lighting on it perfect. I need a trademark now.
chrgod Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Beautiful pictures.. Old maps often make interesting backgrounds, like this of my Air-King. An almost black/white picture.. In hindsight, I see that I have used a bit much sharpening, though. Or this one, is my current wallpaper... My 6263 Daytona on top of a time approprioate picture of a Porsche 928! I like the lightning, which adds depth to the dial..
Bazz Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Great pic as always, the wood adds alot of warmth to the shot.
Stephane Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 PS: Bored with the wood surface yet? I guess it's my trademark...just like Ubi's granite. Hmmm, I guess that is where I picked it from I will have to find another background than By-Tor's one Sorry...
By-Tor Posted February 28, 2007 Author Report Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks all. @Delta and Stephane: Great shots. @Pug: Yeah, I have pretty much gotten the lighting in order. Now I've been trying to find some kind of black, shiny and reflective surface for my photos. Mirror is interesting surface too.
ubiquitous Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I like the mirror background.... But it's definitely a challenge getting non-reflective images (at least for me it is....)
Pugwash Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 But it's definitely a challenge getting non-reflective images (at least for me it is....) I'm looking for a slab of polished black stone to use. It'd be my ideal surface for this kind of thing. Yes, the challenge is part of the appeal.
By-Tor Posted February 28, 2007 Author Report Posted February 28, 2007 I agree... mirrors are challenging, but that's part of the fun. I have done a few "mirror shots"... but would like to do more.
Bigdoggy Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 By-tor, That Rolex mirror shot is SUPERB! So is the watch.
By-Tor Posted February 28, 2007 Author Report Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks Bigdoggy... not a bad Sub for $95, eh?
Stephane Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks all. @Delta and Stephane: Great shots. @Pug: Yeah, I have pretty much gotten the lighting in order. Now I've been trying to find some kind of black, shiny and reflective surface for my photos. Mirror is interesting surface too. @ By-Tor : thanks for your gentleman compliment
