deltatahoe Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 so i'm working away this afternoon when my assistant stops by my office with a mysterious package.....i have a pretty good idea what's inside this one (although it's quite a bit bigger than i was expecting), so i decide to wait till i get home to tear it open. after getting through all the packaging (it was well packed), i was a little surprised at what i found: hmm.....two tone didn't make any mention of a rolex box.....this is a really nice touch. let's see what's inside.... wow -- look at the nice wood grain and rolex logo......what, you want to see more??!? what's trying to peak through here? i think i see a chrono subdial..... without further ado, i present to you -- a dw daytona.... oops, wrong picture. maybe nanuq will appreciate it though. ok, no more teasing guys -- here it is: the watch looks just amazing. the contrast of the black and white really make this watch stand out.... here are some quick coffee table pics for pugwash (as you can see, i was running out of light)... many thanks to two tone for the great watch!! i've got a genuine t-21 crystal on the way; after a new crown & tube and a new bracelet & endlinks for this beauty, it will be complete!!! thanks for looking, deltatahoe
Tim Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Wow that's a beauty! Congratulations! Hey that snow-babe looks familiar... I think I've dated her! Nanuq! So what they told me about you is true!! You only date dogs.... /Tim
deltatahoe Posted March 23, 2007 Author Report Posted March 23, 2007 thanks guys -- i'm really excited about this watch. @nanuq, here is some more eye candy for you. the girls got a little carried away with the attention to detail on our snow-babe (notice the eyelashes)....
Pugwash Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 here are some quick coffee table pics for pugwash (as you can see, i was running out of light)... Thanks. Very nice watch.
elprimerozen Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Absolutly Fabulus!Thats the THING!!!!!
ubiquitous Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Very, very nice! The 6263 has always been a classic in my book. Very simple aesthetics, and the dials (both PN and standard) had the perfect blend of contrast and balance to them. Very pleasing to the eye. Once you have the upgrades completed on the watch, the look and feel of the watch will be completely different (believe it or not). I have a feeling you're going to really enjoy the changes! And, BTW... I must say- There is no finer of a gentleman than the one you bought this beauty from. Good stuff!
Jetsons Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 That is one gorgeous 'Tona and a very nice gesture by TT. I would have wet my pants if such a great extra were added without having a clue it was coming. Enjoy that rare beauty!
freddy333 Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Congrads. That is one of the most beautiful versions of one of the most beautiful watches in the world -- black dialed PN Daytona. Now if I could only find one of the non-Oyster (button pusher) DW Daytonas for myself. The stuff dreams are made of.
TwoTone Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Oh... And I'm very glad you're happy with the Piece Delta... Excellent Individual to deal with he is... Looking forward to a GTG real soon... TT
dieselpower Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 An absolute beauty. Well done both of you. Marvellous.
HauteHippie Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Very nice piece, delta. Consider yourself lucky!!
