Customized Seiko SKX007

Built like tanks.

Superlumed dials + hands.

One of them is entirely PVD coated, the other has the bezel PVD coated.

I find it interesting that there are lots of folks around here who rely/depend upon the ruggedness of Seiko dive watches.

This makes complete sense to me since Seiko watches are inexpensive and they're built like tanks.

No wonder the SKX007 is the world's #1 most used watch for diving.

Here's another way to look at it: More people in the world depend upon the Seiko SKX007 with their lives whilst diving than with any other watch.

Now that says something about proven reliability & toughness.

The 7S26 movement is rugged as hell, too.

Hank7502, you are crazy to wanna beat up your Sinn! I would swim with it, but even diving I know it would take a beating on the rocks. I know its made for diving, but to me it's too nice of a watch. By the way, i love that U1.

Cheers

I'm with hank7502 on this one too... I put mine on a rhino strap.

The U series Sinns are very tough:

I wear my Rolex sub. I figure with everyone trying to artificially vintagize these things I might as well just wear it and let it develop a natural patina.

Citizen Titanium Ecodrive. It has taken a sever beating in and out of the water. Bought it for $190 USD in the US Virgin Islands.

For heavy duty chores I wear my PO first generation ... for slightly less rugged situations (chores or sports) it would be the PO or my Speedy.

I wear one of these (if not both) pretty much all the time, regardless of what I'm doing...

However- I won't wear either if I'm detailing our cars (for obvious reasons), or if we're swimming, in which case I wear this one:

Timex Expedition Retro Metal Field as my camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking watch. They are tough,,,and really cheap.

Breitling Aerospace Titanium or Rolex Rep YatchMaster Rolesium...my two beaters!!!

Seikos make great beaters and IMHO are the absolute best buy for the money out there. I used to suggest reps to people interested in a new watch,,,now,,only Seiko.

On a nato - no wrist shot yet

Just spent 3 days in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Fishing, Shooting, Camping) and the watch never left my wrist.

That is some heavy duty
