elprimerozen Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 I have this rep on my wrist everytime i need to do some hard work...or go out running...or playing with the dog! What do you have on your wrist for haevy duty???? Here is what i wear!! My 6263 with saphire crystal on solid mid links MBW bracelet....now this watch can go through anything!
shultzie Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Pam 024 with A21j movement takes a pretty good beating but cheap enough that I don't care.
Pugwash Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 I generally wear a Seiko automatic when being rugged.
eunomians Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Customized Seiko SKX007 Built like tanks. Upgraded AR coated domed sapphire crystals. Superlumed dials + hands. One of them is entirely PVD coated, the other has the bezel PVD coated. Tested every 6 months at 200m for a minimum of 5 minutes.
pwygant Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Citizen Eco-Drive Diver or Seiko Monster. Can't break either!
eunomians Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 I find it interesting that there are lots of folks around here who rely/depend upon the ruggedness of Seiko dive watches. This makes complete sense to me since Seiko watches are inexpensive and they're built like tanks. No wonder the SKX007 is the world's #1 most used watch for diving. Here's another way to look at it: More people in the world depend upon the Seiko SKX007 with their lives whilst diving than with any other watch. Now that says something about proven reliability & toughness. The 7S26 movement is rugged as hell, too. Hank7502, you are crazy to wanna beat up your Sinn! I would swim with it, but even diving I know it would take a beating on the rocks. I know its made for diving, but to me it's too nice of a watch. By the way, i love that U1. Cheers
swdivad Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 I'm with hank7502 on this one too... I put mine on a rhino strap. The U series Sinns are very tough:
mucrewbtp Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 I wear my Rolex sub. I figure with everyone trying to artificially vintagize these things I might as well just wear it and let it develop a natural patina.
Jawo Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Citizen Titanium Ecodrive. It has taken a sever beating in and out of the water. Bought it for $190 USD in the US Virgin Islands.
jkerouac Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 For heavy duty chores I wear my PO first generation ... for slightly less rugged situations (chores or sports) it would be the PO or my Speedy.
ubiquitous Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 I wear one of these (if not both) pretty much all the time, regardless of what I'm doing... However- I won't wear either if I'm detailing our cars (for obvious reasons), or if we're swimming, in which case I wear this one: My favorite diver
HighDef Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Timex Expedition Retro Metal Field as my camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking watch. They are tough,,,and really cheap.
crystalcranium Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 IF I wear one....Timex Ironman. Wear one of my precious pieces into heavy work battle.....NFW!!!!
hiker01 Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Breitling Aerospace Titanium or Rolex Rep YatchMaster Rolesium...my two beaters!!!
jeff g Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Looks like this thread is all about 'Monster Madness'. Pretty indestructable.
chris5264 Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Seikos make great beaters and IMHO are the absolute best buy for the money out there. I used to suggest reps to people interested in a new watch,,,now,,only Seiko.
Physher007 Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 Gotta be On a nato - no wrist shot yet Just spent 3 days in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Fishing, Shooting, Camping) and the watch never left my wrist. That is some heavy duty
