The packet is in airport customs TNT called me and toled me that i have to take my packet from customs...and i have to pay 20 euros for a paper from TNT....then i can go to customs with that paper and pay a minimum of 100 euros to release my packet......or they can make the arengement for me for about 130 euro....they need all my infos(name,address,etc...etc..) to send them to customs to start the procedure.... .....but i will go by my self at custom and say that is a gift from a friend i know from hong kong..and i dont know what is in the packet. if i refuse to pay 100 euros minimum to release the packet,the law says that they can not send it back and they will destroy it.... If you have experience a situation like this please give me some tips!!!

My opinion: 1) First say to TNT that you will do as the law says and ask them to put their 1st option in writting. 2) If you are not willing to pay 100 USD to customs (which I wouldnt either) and they are going to destroy the watch , tell them that they can destroy the package but since is a gift

I think u better tell them it is a gift from ur friends in HK, and tell them you will get the reciept for that gift from your friend as well. Go back to talk to ur dealer, ask for a fake receipt( they all have that kinda reciepts) stating somthing like 300dollars, ur dealer either can scan it for you or send it to u. Then all u have to do is show ur reciept to the custom, they will charge certain amount of money based on ur reciept.

jdavis Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Don't do anything until you have talked with your dealer about the situation. They encounter these difficulties with Customs all the time and handling them is routine for them. Most likely your dealer will send you another watch and tell you to deny any knowledge of the package and let them do as they will with it.

elprimerozen Posted July 1, 2007 Author Report Posted July 1, 2007 The invoice says "Wooden box with watch" So its not a lie.....I will go people tomorow to customs and see what happens! My dealer toled me to say that its a gift from a friend...and i dont know what is in the packet! We will see!

The only thing they asked to see was ...if its a ROLEX......they only know Rolex Replicas!!!He he!! NO ITS A CHANEL!!!!!!!GIFT!!!

When they opened the packet...they only thing that they wanted to see was that the watch was not a Rolex.... when they saw a chanel...they said its a plastic watch so no need to charge anything!!!He he!! So happy end!!

I happened to pick the very same model for my lady last Saturday. It is really stunning watch with only one exception that is the date window.
