Stephane
Dear All, Here is a pictorial of my first deal with Ruby. Introduction I must say that I wasn't very sure I wanted a SFSO and then saw Pix review and comments about getting a cheap one. That is why I went for it. Pix comments thread Pix Mini review About the deal Ruby is very responsive and nice to deal with Besides that she also offer great prices: 139$ for the watch with a SS bracelet and an extra 15 for the leather strap. On top of that, I got a 10$ discount because I do not want EMS but simple registered letter. Of course, it took some time to come all the way from China, but it landed safely. And that is all that matters to me About the watch Do I like it? No, at least not yet I'm wearing it today and I do not feel any exiting vibration from that watch. Maybe it is going to grow on me though. We shall see. I'm nowhere close to a Breitling fan, neither an expert. I am thus not commenting flaws here. There are some probably. I will simply say that the build is great. It's very well finished, heavy on the wrist. The bezel in example turns and clicks perfectly, not too loose not to hard. I opened the watch and yes, it is the suspected Asian 21 J. Surprise though: it is oily…so was it serviced? Or is it the O ring grease? No idea of course For the last 12 hours, it's keeping good time, no worries. Of course, when setting date/time the feeling of the crown is not as smooth as an Eta. But we all know that. AR coating: personally I do not like AR because of the scratches that will affect it on the outside of the crystal. My friend's Gen is looking ugly after only one year of daily use. Also, on Gen Breitling the blue AR is so strong that I really have troubles reading the time in fact. Lume is correct too. One more thing: the date is not as badly aligned as on certain "Ultimate/Perfect-Super" reps. Conclusion After all, maybe this watch is the same build as the Swiss one but with an Asian 21 J and no AR. Who knows? I'm quite happy about my deal with Ruby and hope it will get some wrist time. If not, I have another friend who might like this one and will wear it. Thanks for reading, and now here are the pics. Cheers Stephane

By-Tor
Good and honest review. And probably your best pics to date. I simply don't understand that you don't like this watch though... and just buy all those black and boring Rolexes. Just kidding man... the white version isn't really for me, either. And besides, I'm not a gentleman enough to wear watches on a strap. All in all... this is an amazing rep, and the lite version is a good deal. dadog13
nice pics and review...this one is soo tempting because of the low price...but lately i've focused on high end reps...so i think i am going to save the $$$ for the eta version... Maybe this question has been asked before so i apologise: Can the asian movement be swapped for ETA? are the hand sizes the same?
Stephane
@By-Tor: thanks for the compliment on the pictures (I guess it's the grey stone one you like) I will probably like it soon I had lunch with two fellows and they both noticed the watch and fell in love actually. @RepAustria: thanks for clarifying as usual, ask the experts. @Dadog: well this one looks quite a good deal to me indeed (less than a Swatch) @2005Sub: to me too @Joe: I have no idea

Pix
Finally the Asian version has a meaning for all of us : if you're only half convinced, you pay half the price ! and Mea Culpa if I tempted you... but I'm sure I was right. Time will tell. The very worst case will be this BREITLING landing on a good friend's wrist Frankly, I was not a Breitling fan before I saw the SFSO. It always looked "overworked" (loaded ?), but I see the Steelfish as a simpler model. What I love on most Breitling is the caseback, it looks always detailed. And this one looks particularly well finished. Small details like serial numbers or B logo on te side show how far and how well they went in the replication. The thing I usually don't like on Breitlings are the bracelets. Curiously, the SFSO's one is just right for me. And we have the chance that it just looks as great on SS as on strap. Breitling have become so good to me now that I decided to go for a Navitimer
