well.......I went for the st.exupery because of it's distinctive design as opposed to the 3717, which is great, but looks so much like every other IWC.

Ditto...I went for the st exuprey as well....the brown dial is awesome and I already have several black faced chronos.

Who has the St Exupery models? Can't see them on Joshua's site

500 were made with the three subdials in white/silver. These are white gold models, so the three white/silver subdials are accurate. It's a rarer model. Truth is, no one excluding IWC dealers (who stock them), will ever question it, rare as it is.

it's a very attractive, distinctive look, and my watchmaker (who sees all my reps) was awed by it.

3717 for sure. I bought an ETA movement from ebay that's getting sent off to The Zigmeister for a transplant and relume. I also ordered a gator strap from HkTan. The Exupery looks great, but I can't seem to get over that crappy date font. The fact that the caseback has a #1 serial also screams rep to me.
