jmt
Was wondering-- what do folks think is the best (truest to gen, best made) rep of a thin, elegant dress watch?
mezzanine
I would say MBW Patek Nautilus. I'm not even sure it's close...I guess the MBW AP RO Jumbo, or the Vacheron Overseas, but that new Patek is breath-taking in pics.
By-Tor
Check my Omega Guide. The certain version of Omega Costellation ETA was sensational.

Victoria
Luscious, Laz, but the member wanted a THIN, elegant watch. So far, we've given him gorgeous watch suggestions like Euno's magical twins, but I'm guessing he meant something like a Blancpain or Breguet. I personally think the Chronoswiss gets very little fanfare. They are lovely watches, but not for all tastes. Here is the Regulateur Automatique (Joshua), which is very close to the original. Gen: 38mm Rep: 40mm (but also AJ21). More here: http://www.perfectclones88.com/chronoswiss-c-90.html
scoobs1971
"Officially" (in the end it's a matter of personal taste and 'style') for a dress watch you need a watch on a leather strap and one that is not too big and bulky. Defintely no SS bracelet. For busines purposes one with no compilcations except for day, date and perhaps a modest chronograph or power reserve (no perpetual calendars, tourbillions, moonphase etc.). More is less in this case. Outside the business environment you can go for the ones with the bigger complications. A classic one is the Patek Philippe Calatrava: http://www.perfectclones88.com/pp10091-cal...hite-p-686.html Or what about this chrono Calatrava? http://www.perfectclones88.com/pp10026-cla...nos-p-1543.html Other brands like A Lange & Sohn, Chronoswiss, Glasshutte, Breguet, Blancpain and Vacheron Constatin have lots of variations on this classic model. Another classic if it fits your 'style' would be the Cartier Santos: http://www.perfectclones88.com/cars10005-s...del-p-1086.html A modern classic dress watch would be the IWC Portuguese: http://www.perfectclones88.com/iw10027-jon...tas-p-1489.html Or the Jaeger LeCoultre Master: http://www.perfectclones88.com/jl10001-mas...242-p-2910.html A Jaeger LeCoultre Master Reserve: http://www.perfectclones88.com/jl10003-mas...rve-p-1046.html And only if you're James Bond you can get away with the Omega SMP as a formal dress watch
dluddy
Depends on the Event and Dress but here are mine: Formal Events with Suit/Tuxedo - Patek 3919 Calatrava Business Event wearing Suit - Either of these depending on my mood or shirt cuff: Lange Flyback VC Perpetual Calendar 2004 VCO Arabic Dial 2006 VCO JLC Memevox PAM 183 Black Seal: Genuine Air King Too many choices Others up for consideration would be my JLC Reserve de Marche or PAM 063 on Cordovan Europelli
pobiga
Vacheron Constantin "Malte Chronograph" is a MUST for me. Very elegant, not big and quite "reserved".
scoobs1971
Don't know if they are all decently repped, but wouldn't keep these pics from this topic:) (edit) Vacheron Malte Chronograph http://www.perfectclones88.com/vc10014-mal...nos-p-1795.html Looks like the dial spacing is too wide and the 3 and 9 dots are missing. But if you can live with that, the rep doesn't look too bad. Tough, I would prefer a black strap..
b16a2
The Breitling Navitimer is one that looks very good under a shirt when it's on a leather strap!
Kollektor
My vote goes to the Nautilus Jumbo, but Laz, that Radio is superb!
Corgi
Vacheron Constantin 1755 Jubillee from Joshua in Yellow Gold. Probably his most under-rated watch. A very very faithful replica of a watch retailing over $25,000 for only $98... and it is such a close rep that you will be amazed. It is also very sleek, and my father's keeps very accurate COSC time... or so I hear... Either way it is definitely not something to overlook. My personal recommendation for a business man who wants to look super rich but also sophisticated and professional.

My father is a Scrooge about Christmas, and refuses to be given presents saying it's commercialised, yadda-yadda, whatever. I always give him one little "big" present like an Herm
