rocket754
As the title suggests I would like to see who would be interested in buying a corrected santos dial. I will be having them made soon but the production would take a month or so. However, I would like to see how many would be interested in buying a correct dial for around 40 to 50 bucks shipped? This is basiclally the main flaw with this watch and by putting this corrected dial in would make it a super rep. post up if anyone is interested as I need a head count. the final product will of course be exactly like the gen image on the left. rocket754
I'm in! Depending on how many people want one will determine the price. I have a couple options. one maker has a minimum order of 100 which is big $$$$$ the other manufacture can make 10 dials but the cost for each one would end up being 50 bucks or more a piece for each member. Either way I am going to get this done. The santos is a classic watch that has been repped for a long time but when they can't get the dial right you have to take matters into your own hands. Stephane
Hi Rocket, I would definitely want a perfect dial rep of the santos 100. So, please count me in. Cheers Stephane

halley
Yes, I'm really impressed at how you took that idea into a project into a prototype, you never gave up rockett!! I must thank you for that because if I launched the idea, I was far from being diligent enough to take it to even a bigger idea, lol... Many thanks, BTW I will need another santos 100 as I just ordered a 7753 this week
rocket754
Keep in mind that we would be looking a getting the dial in the fall once I send it out for production. If I can gather 80 - 90 people or have that many spoken for I may be able to do them cheaper. I really would only think 20 or so people would be interested in buying the perfect dial but I could be wrong. I have always liked the santos 100 and to make a super rep out of it all everyone needs is the following: 1. ETA version of the Santos 100 (you can buy these really cheap these days people) 2. Buy and croc or gator strap and throw the rep strap away. You can source one on ebay or have one of the strap guys in the forum make you one. (we do try and do a group buy of a custom one which are very nice) 3. My new dial. That's all you guys need to have a exacellent rep of the santos 100. I really hope whoever I choose to make this dial for me won't ruin it cause then I have to buy another donner watch to start all over again. Keep our fingers crossed. Kollektor
I'm surprised that dozens haven't jumped all over this already. The Sant*s is a stunner. This is the watch you wear while sipping Krug at the Dorchester as you make Oscar Wilde witticisms in an attempt to impress all of your polo mates. You can even wear it with sandals. It's that cool. Chronus
Two Tone and standard SS both have the same dial? I see silix has the TT at $170 and the SS at $150... could be worth a look, especially as they have genuine ETA 2824 movements Edited August 12, 2007 by Chronus
Kollektor
I think they're all the same size. Not sure if they're the same dial. There are small variances in the dials...
jdub765
I'm in if there are any left. You should make a list on here and take deposits (or payment in full) from everyone so you don't get screwed. I'd be happy to pay in full up front. subzero1
I'm ordering the SS and the TT Santos from Silix, so I'd be interested in 2 dials, assuming he sends them to me with the wavy dials (which seem to be what everyone has in stock), and not the flat dials pictured on his site. Please count me in. prof Is it hard to replace the dial? If not, I would be interested in one too. I never bothered to get the watch because of the inaccurate dial, but if I could replace the dial I would definetly be interested.
woody
Wow Mario....... you know I have a Santos, and we've talked about this in a few topics already too. Just as I was getting ready to trade away my somewhat modded Santos, you come up with this dial? you must like to torture us besides those dandy photos. do we know how close the dial will be compared to the gen one rocketman? and now that you are doing this, my interest had piqued again, feel free to PM me or email me if you don't like to share the details, but yes, I would be interested.....
