Watchmeister
I know it has been shown before but I could not resist. We know where this one has been. It has movement and day/date wheels swapped and complete relume with multiple coats of gloss. This one has been getting alot of wrist time lately. lanikai
WOW... I THINK BY 2008 I will get my IWC divers done by the Master Horologist ... all good things are worth waiting for... where did the day date wheel come from ???? Watchmeister
I got the day and date wheel through Ziggy. If you are in fact booked to do this with him I would suggest you let him know in advance so he can order the parts. People have been able to source them for less than his supplier on these particular items so you can go that route. I know he is indifferent as he sells the parts for his cost. In truth when I saw all these wonderful IWC's coming down the path I ordered several sets of black and white. I do usually swap the movements for my older 17j movements but I have always wondered whether the day/date wheels line up as nicely if you use the original movement. Alan_Schezar
I got the day and date wheel through The Zigmeister. So how much did it cost to see all this through? Thanks in advance,
Watchmeister
All-in including movement swap and relume it is probably close to $750 so not cheap. However the gen is $5-6k and the Swiss version of the rep is over a $1,000 and that doesn't have relume or the better day/date wheels. Not for the faint of heart but most satisfying.
