Pugwash Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Just because someone has more watches on their site than someone else, it doesn't mean they're worse than others. The most important thing, and I know practically everyone disagrees with me because they're misquoting an old saying, is to first choose your watch.

Stephane Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Trio, PT can get most of the watches you want ! So does Narika and TTK probably. Not seing them online does not mean they cannot have access to it. Just ask them. They are willing to make business, don't wworry Cheers Stephane
paulV Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 ...Don't forget Homer! He's selling at CQout too and i recently bought a Rlx GMT from him. He's also shipping from UK
Corgi Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I would definitely recommend Narikaa. He is in the United Kingdom, and has a great selection of watches. He also has an amazing collection of pens but I do not know where they have gone....
loewenheart Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Does Narika sell eta movement watches??? Thanks, l
TWP Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) Do not forget there is an American Collector that has not had any problems shipping to Europe from the states Edited September 20, 2007 by TWP
docblackrock Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Do not forget there is an American Collector that has not had any problems shipping to Europe from the states Sorry TWP, but I have to say the ONLY problems I've ever had with items inbound here to the UK, have come from the US. Customs labels marked "gift"? Opened. And taxed. Several times. Fair enough if legit high value items, where the exchange rate allows for for it anyway, although I've had many items delivered from Japan (Sony stuff mainly) without any problem whatsoever. Every package almost without exception has been Customs-delayed. But the last US straw for me was ordering a Hirsch strap from the FK sale....$35, which according to some convenient understeer on the
Viennawatch Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I have to agree with docblackrock on that one... Back on the old RWG, a member was giving out a free Baume & Mercier rep which I happily accepted. The shipment left from Florida, arrived in Austrian customs. I received the infamous yellow letter... I said the package wasn't mine and it was shipped back to him. Otherwise I would have had to pay a fine or taxes... Not worth the risk and costs for me... Otherwise I'd be all over TWP's watches....
Stephane Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Same problems with US here in Belgium guys: taxes taxes taxes... Even if they do not open/check...the minimum import tax on a "gift" is 10

(That was the extent of my commentary. Sorry, that's all I got)

Victoria Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 ms barrett could you PM me? Done! I mentioned in the Shoutbox how I was dawdling in clearing it. Sorry, DET11. ;(
qwerty2011 Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 I just received a watch from Trevor. He doesn't offer transshipping but my item arrived in 3 days without problems!
Stephane Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 I just received a watch from Trevor. He doesn't offer transshipping but my item arrived in 3 days without problems! Hmm, a 6 years old thread? That is very ..."special"!
qwerty2011 Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Hmm, a 6 years old thread? That is very ..."special"! I haven't see how old was the thread.. But Just want to share my experience. Here in Italy there are a lot of problems with the custom, so if I can help someone, why not?
PeteM Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 I haven't see how old was the thread.. But Just want to share my experience. Here in Italy there are a lot of problems with the custom, so if I can help someone, why not? So why not start a new thread and help out the newer members with your experience.... that way the info stays fresh and current and helps you to get more involved in the forum Congrats on your new buy...wear it well mate
panerai153 Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 I agree with Pete, start a new thread, don't resurrect a 6 year old one. When I started reading the thread, didn't look at the date either, but when I saw TTK as a dealer, I knew something was amiss!!! Problem with these old threads, the info is stale and often inaccurate. New members see it and they get a bunch of inaccurate info, which causes confusion.
qwerty2011 Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 I'm not able with the forum world and I haven't see the date. I don't know the world of rep watches so I don't know the seller except for the most famous.. But I'll make a new thread ASAP with a review of the watch.
