most of the eastern european countries i only visited to get drunk&party with friends!

Ken-

I was in Australia last year in Perth and the mining territories for several days. Hoping to get there this year as well. I will let you know. It is frustrating because I have some business over there this year but have not yet figured out how to finagle a trip out of it. :) Now I just have to figure out where everything is over there. Australia is one huge country. By the way if you want to see a frightening Aussie horror movie check out Wolf Creek. Not for the week of stomach though. :)

Last time I was in Melbourne, I was there only for a day, sadly :(

I may be moving sometime later this year, as my boss has hinted to me that I will part of 5 people who will be laid off soon, I'm seriously considering moving to Vancouver or London, England again.

Probably my worst experience was the time I was coming back to Toronto from Hong Kong through LAX on my British passport early in 2005, and was detained for over 12 hours on the basis my British passport was counterfeit, and the immigration officers kept asking me which part of China I came from, how much I paid for the passport, and how I much I paid to get to the US, since they said that it was impossible that I was a British citizen, which infuriated me.

After 12 hours of harassment, and my constant protests that I was not an illegal immgirant, they finally let me through, after the British consulate in LAX verified the passport for them, but not before stamping a "Cancelled" stamp on every page and cutting the corners off on the passport, rendering my British passport absolutely useless. Thank god I had my Canadian passport on me as well, or I would have been screwed.
